Do you buy or handreg? all inbound i see.
No, around 800-900 will get renewed - but that's still a large cost.
Same way you collect any other domains: buy or register them over time.

It would be interesting to see which of the 2 .CO models produced a higher rate of overall profitability:
1 - Closing sales in the $1.5K-$2.5K range (w/either "Make offer" or BIN)
2- Lower-range BIN expectancy (ex. $500-$749 range)
When playing the sub-$5K game, it is not always straightforward to know which model to implement on a higher-level:
Less sales for higher amounts (1), or more lower-range sales (2) that add up fast over time.
nice stuff
just as a curiosity let's say on the most recent co promos a week or so ago.. how many 1 or 2$ do did u reg?
do u reg prems too?

Btw, can you or can anyone please throw me some light about why this domain got sold? I even googled "Sensor Print" and couldn't find any proper exact search terms too. So got confused what's the reason for picking up this name!

Inquiry on Epik form (Epik Marketplace sale)
Hold Time: several days (this time)
Acquisition: discounted hand reg
This is smallest sale I have reported, but it has an interesting story. I held this name for one year with 0 inquiries. So I let it drop. But on Epik .co promotion I decided to register it again for another year. I had not even got a lander or listing done this time, but about 9 hr after registering it the second time I got an inquiry (through auto contact Epik put up). I negotiated, but over several days, person seemed not willing to pay too much, and given that an ed ending .co and I had no inquiries for previous year, agreed to sell (I would not have sold this low had it not been that I had previously held it without interest). It is still sitting with my lander, but I am pretty sure that it is an end user that will use it in an auto trim business. I had thought hair or hedge or budget trimming when I picked it up.
What are the rest of the names you bought?Show attachment 176003 Just sold Messenger(.)vc on Sedo for $800.
Offer was $500, countered $1,100, he countered $800. Just made the payment.
Purchased about $600 worth of premium.vc’s during the prom @Epik.com had. First one I’ve sold, game on.
What are the rest of the names you bought?
I am glad it paid off. One sale covered the cost. This is what I like about the promos and some people always scoff at
if only domaining was as simple as regging 500 co names on 1 or 2 usd promo... and being guaranteed at least money back
well..its not that simple...
Regging 500 good or at least half decent .co names on a promo, though... That would make domaining very simple Too bad I can't find even 100 such available names during a promo, let alone 500

.co became very popular these days, it's dirt cheap so risk is low and ROI is very high (mine is around 300% for handregs). So it's worth it, for me at least, but it's just a well-paying hobby that doesn't require more than 10 minutes per day. The problem is that it is extremely difficult to scale this business model up. You can increase the time you spend on finding available names, but if there are x number of decent names, you can't find x*2 even if you have unlimited time, imagination, tools and resources. Not to mention that the more names you register the crappier they are.exactly it... I mean how many domainers can keep regging 100s of promo co names til there is nothing left worth regging... and that's what happened with co..coupled with their premium invention.. but hey maybe this strategy was worth something few yrs back...

Premium .co-s don't make things easier, I agree, but maybe it's not a bad thing. If you're brave enough and you're a .co expert, you can go for it, and there aren't too many competitors.
I'm not that brave :D I mean, let's say I buy the premium .co-s at the cheapest registrar, Sav.com, for $100 each. Let's say I buy 10, that's $1000. Let's say the STR is 5% for such great names, so you have to wait for 2 years to sell 1 out of 10. That means you have to renew the names for another year, so your total cost is $1200. In order to reach a decent return on investment, you need to sell this one domain for a lot more than $1200.true.
I mean many domainers do not even bother with co on promos..which says a lot...
so are u one of those brave ones for prem regging? how is this model working for ya?
Next time set up an email account for the .com and offer to sell leads to the company. (Yes, I am joking... but it will get their attention when you deliver their misrouted email to them... and increase the value of the name.)
All reg'd during the epik promo, right @Rob Monster?that's a lot of prem names there.. are u sure u regged them on promos
or maybe many yrs back u mean?

What? Not sure what you don’t understand, why don’t you check @Rob Monster tweet about it from a couple days ago..yeah..50 years ago lol
