Having relatives and friends scattered all over the globe, I am getting an overload of input (some on the record and some off the record).

My intention for this thread is for community members from around the world to post first hand stories and/or links to information sources that, for the most part, should be reliable.

In my community, just outside a major southeastern city, 'assets' have been placed. Only because I have friends in both high and low places have I heard about some of this. At this point it is only some basic medical supplies that should be equally distributed anyway in preparation for a natural emergency (hurricane/wildfire/etc.).

I will start with posting a link to a site with current data that seems to come from an aggregate of sources and hope others will do the same as they come across similar sites/pages.

Because of the 'typhoid Mary' spread-ability of this disease, I feel we may be in for a really large spread globally which will impact the global economy and through extension, retail domain prices.

One thing is for sure...things will get worse before they get better.

Vaccines have never been the solution that the propagandists have many believing that they are.

Have a read of this book written by an MD that shows the actual roots of vaccines and the flawed science.

Don't be one of the sheep that falls for the PSY-OP and begs for a vaccine.

Heck...if you got the flu shot you are far more likely to contract coronavirus....have a look:

Thank u for the notice. I will put it in my reading list.

Who's safe?

Britain Prime Minister Boris Johnson tested positive. The man was shaking hands with coronavirus patients few weeks back. (Might have spread more during this time).

British health minister Matt Hancock also tested positive for coronavirus.

Coronavirus: India 'super spreader' quarantines 40,000 people

Indian authorities in the northern state of Punjab have quarantined around 40,000 residents from 20 villages following a Covid-19 outbreak linked to just one man.

The 70-year-old died of coronavirus - a fact found out only after his death.

The man, a preacher, had ignored advice to self quarantine after returning from a trip to Italy and Germany, officials told BBC Punjabi's Arvind Chhabra.

His family has been recently comforted by the revelation 'it's was just the flu'.

Actor Mark Blum, 'Desperately Seeking Susan' and 'You' star, dies of coronavirus complications

poor guy... never heard of him before.. checked couple quick pics.. he looked older... and kinda ill at first glance.. just a feeling..

eithr way, it does not only go after old.. and sick... though mostly... i read story today of france's youngest victim from last day... 16 year old girl... with seemingly no other health issues.. just mild cough at first.. then suddenly hard time breating.. and gone.

not sure if thats how they do burrial in all countries now with corona.. but in france, its closed coffin, the dead person is totally naked inside... they burn all clothes and belongins, so family gets no souvenirs.. and family does not get to see dead person.. closed coffin..

sad times for all

frankly, the family would not even know if they just burned the body with others, or if the person is really inside coffin, at the cemetary...

we've all been saying.. once sheet hits the fan in india.. it'll be a whole new next level... i think india is THE number one worst country for spread and fight against this virus... population density.. climate.. open defacation... lack of sanitary conditions.. poor hospital care.... etc etc...

Here in US I've seen so many 'presentations' of the deceased it still surprises me sometimes. I fully expect to walk into a funeral parlor one day to see the body sitting in a chair ala 'weekend at bernies'.

In my case, I will be dressed in my favorite In-n-Out tee shirt and custom boxer shorts (my ex wife had made for me), put into a cardboard box and toasted at high temperatures to a super well done level. 1/3 of my ashes will go north to be sprinkled on my true loves grave, 1/3 will go the beach/ocean and the final 1/3 will be scattered at any In-n-Out (don't tell anyone this is my plan as they, management at InO, might frown upon it).

Fearing Next Wave, China Doesn’t Want Its Diaspora Coming Back

Beijing is actively discouraging its 11 million Chinese diaspora from coming home, telling them that it would mean long delays in their studies and jobs overseas. And it’s no longer sending chartered flights to get citizens home, an about-turn from an earlier policy that saw it bring plane loads of Chinese back from Iran and Japan.

Feel pity with your knowledge on India. The first world nations with the mega health care systems couldn't afford ventilators.

Population density: Yes. Indian population is huge. However, the early decisions by government made things better so far. The rate of positive cases are 1 in 50 cases. So far India did well in containing.

Climate: Think about it. There are lesser number of cases where the temperature and humidity played it's part.

Open defacation: Your internet knowledge doesn't know that not every Indian defecate openly.

Sanitary conditions: Oh please. Don't even talk about it. To talk about it, I would suggest you use bidet and not TP.

Poor hospitals: India has the largest health care system giving free health care. "Ayushman Bharat Yojana"

Spare the conspiracy theory. Not sure how things works there , but in India we consider every life important. Just because a person is old or not in younger age group doesn't mean you will let them die.

Will we see the cluster outbreak in India? Yes.
Can it be contained? We will do our best.

Thank you.

Mother to baby transmission of COVID-19 cannot be ruled out, new study finds

Early in the novel coronavirus pandemic, encouraging data suggested that infants born to mothers with COVID-19 did not acquire the virus before birth, a process called vertical transmission. However, three new reports released in The Journal of the American Medical Association unfortunately suggest the opposite may be true.

Vertical transmission, or the spread of infectious disease from mother to child, initially seemed unlikely based on initial COVID-19 case reports as well as historical data from the outbreaks of MERS and SARS, close cousins of the novel coronavirus. To date, data has been published on 19 infants born to mothers with COVID-19, all of whom subsequently tested negative for the virus.

However, a study released from Wuhan’s Children’s Hospital evaluated 33 newborns born to mothers with COVID-19 pneumonia, finding that three of these infants (9%) fell ill. The physicians involved noted that strict infection control procedures were followed during delivery, suggesting that the virus didn’t infect the infants during or after delivery, and instead likely came from the mother while they were still in the womb.

every life is improtant everywhere. however, we are worldwide at a stage where its no longer a question of if someone will die... its a question of what to do so we have fewest deaths.
its not conspiracy theory.. its the reality. but you are welcome to continue living in your dreamworld where we save everyone and no one dies from this.

sorry for insulting your indian ego. i think now the world has bigger problems than your ego. i do not live in india but I watch a lot of youtube videos. its not hard to read or see or learn this or that about india. i could get you some stats and numbers as to how how many people in india deficate in the open... maybe there is somehting new you can learn about your own country from that.

thanks

Funny you are making me learn about my country because you watched some youtube videos about India.

Anyways. Good luck with that. No hard feelings.

Does a bear sh*t in the woods? It would be disastrous if India had a major outbreak, prayers to you and your countrymen. Perhaps we will learn from this pandemic, practice proper hygiene and not buy into fear mania.

Who knows how many people he has infected? More ministers are going to self isolate now for sure.

I agree. Southern Africa with very high levels of HIV, TB, Malaria etc, as well as high poverty levels could also become uncontrollable,

not sure whats up with the military from usa by canadian border...
but im gonna take wild guess here and say in years to come, usa is totally gonna take over canada... canada is just too close... too big.. to nice.. too few people.. too many natural resources.. too tempting for usa... first they'll ask nicely to join usa.. then they'll ask less nicely.

just a thought
