This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
nice sale.. as I said, the keyword is pretty good... but overall and on average .de make way more and are way more frequent than .ca sales... imo vapy///.ca would never fetch 11k.... well.. at least not in my lifetime :)

Congrats to the both of you.
I've owned Vapys in king for years and turned down offers in the 3 to 4 figures range. Still on my "To be developed" list. lol

I don't generally post sales for various reasons, but would like to share this one because it's interesting :)
I mostly only invest in brandable .com domains along with a handful of .co, but back in 2017, I acquired 4 domains for $30 as a lot, and one of them was a .org. I think it's the only .org I've ever owned...I don't have it listed anywhere other than Afternic, it doesn't even have a landing page, due to it doesn't really fit into my portfolio/brandable domain marketplace. Surprisingly it just got sold a couple of days ago! Below is the details:

Name: 3/D/S/C/A/N/N/I/N/G/.ORG
Sold on Afternic
Acquired on NP in 2017 as part of a 4-domains lot for $30
Sold price: $3000
After commission: $2400

Werent u supposed to keep the first installment even if the buyer doesnt want to continue?

Just now seeing these posts. My apologies to everyone here and especially @DAN.COM – I had misunderstood the email I had received at the time of cancelation that the transaction had been UNWOUND not just canceled. But, I was wrong – I did indeed retain the first monthly payment and still have control of the domain name at Dan.com's associated registrar, Metaregistrar.com. I have already apologized to Dan.com and the buyer privately for my miscommunications.

Nothing to brag about but all add up.

Sale venue: Afternic
Sale price: $600
Net received: $480
Closeout purchase: $19.17
Hold time: 15 days

Hit my account on the 10th of Jan, rejected by SH (like to check their valuation on some names) on the 14th, on the 16th Afternic broker came in that I received an offer of $250 and would like to handle the transaction. Name was listed at 2.5k BIN. Broker said he could not get them up, according to him end user seemed walking away easily with their max offer $350.

I countered $1500 on the platform as I was motivated to sell. I'm in the portfolio building phase so I am too soft negotiating, took me a week to get them up to the final sale price. Buyer was either very bold negotiator or they are truly on low budget. Sold too low, but I don't look back, quick flip, money will be 100% reinvested into similar or higher quality names.

Custom/Printed/Packaging.com

$199, Afternic BIN

Reg fee, hold time 258 days.

Pretty happy for my 3rd sale of the year, from a small portfolio of only 120 domains.

job / rite .com first end user sale direct inbound inquiry without any marketplace, sold on payment plan for $1,000 down plus 10 monthly payments of $250 for a total price of $3,500, buyer paid escrow fees. Down payment cleared escrow today. Acquired via Dynadot expired auction on 9/3/19 for $381.25, I would have held our for more normally but after months of discussions it was clear this was this buyers best offer and I plan to reinvesting in growing my portfolio further.

My two sales for this year (apart from aftermarket sales):

Health // Coach // .io
Afternic BIN $899, I assume GoDaddy
Regged for $28 somewhere in October

Opbo // .co

Afternic BIN $200
Regged for $1 during promo in December

Another small sale I had was:
Equite // .io
DAN deal agreed for $100
Regged in March
I had it listed high $xxx for a long time, never had any interest or traffic, so lowered the BIN to $200 to get a sale as I was planning to drop the domain. I got an offer for $100, assumed it was a domainer but now it resolves to a Crypto related website. I could've gotten more for it. But hey, you win some you lose some and within 2 months I wouldve dropped the domain anyway

Domain name: M*a*v*v*e*l (com)
Sale venue: Squadhelp (Feb. 13, 2020)
Listing type: Sold through Installment payments
Listing upgrades: Premium listing (Squadhelp registered domain, so no cost for me)
Seller: Me
Sale price: $1549
When I woke up this morning and checked the email, I was so happy to read this good news.
I already sold a couple of domains in Squadhelp aside from the wins I had in the naming Contests.
It's always encouraging whenever I receive such surprising emails from Squadhelp. Hope this will also encourage you guys.

pn(.al)......$300... bodis inquiry then Dan add lead option... no outbound... i think i bought it on np.. for XX... then renewed couple years.

i regged/bought a few LL.al couple years ago.. i think i have 2 more left.. sold a few here on np for not much... dropped a few... there is little to no action on these sadly... even the better ones. so i consider myself lucky to sell this for $300... i probably won't be renewing the other 2 this year.. not sure yet... overall i am glad to be a few 100s ahead after reg/renew fees on LL.al names... could have easily gone the other way with .al

I had my first ever sale.

Sold PeachyStudio.com for 2000$ via DAN.

Received 2k offer and accepted it the next day.

Domain pushed and funds received in the bank.

Acquired in December via GD Closeouts for 20$.

Did outbound to many potential businesses with no success.

Domain: fotabu.com
Venue: DAN / inbound offer
Sale Price: 800€ (710€ after commission and VAT)
Hand reg cost: 1,40€
Net Profit: 708,60€
Hold time: 60 days

On Cyber Monday (1st December) I registered 68 domains at uk2.net using their promo of 1£ each (1,20£ with the VAT). Most of them are 5L & 6L .com domains. This domain was part of these domains. I have received a medium XXX offer for another one, but I rejected it.

Regarding the sale, I received an offer of 800€, and I accepted it without negotiating, because last month I received 2 offers for others domains and when I a countered offer, they never came back.
Super happy for this profit!

Flight-Deals/com $300 on Namescon. Which means I receive $240 net? I dont even remember their fees.

Bought for $42 on Godaddy auctions 4 months ago.

I listed it with no reserve thinking it will get more than 1 bid but whatever.
