I know there's been live streams provided previous years, with mixed quality I've read.

Is there anything this year? If so, I have not been able to find any information on it. Please share.

Is it just me or is the quality of it terrible.

The audio/video is choppy, and painful. Looks like many of the lots are being passed up, not good for a live auction, I watched maybe 20 lots, then it got boring. Many names got to just 1 bid under selling, but nobody stepped up, kind of like namejet:-s

You are not missing out on anything, there are no bargains of sorts from what I have seen.

I saw one namepros member had singl.es in auction which they paid close to $900 for, and it sold for $1200, by the time they pay their commission, they going to be right back to square 1.

WOW!! ColdRemedies.com for 1.5K what a literal steal!!

JM.ORG for 9.5K, a solid buy IMO

Calories.com 100K , a solid buy IMO

Latinos.com 60k , a solid buy IMO

Diagnose.com 60K , a solid buy IMO

I think AlcoholTreatment dot com was the biggest surprise for me. 32K. That's a big number for that domain, IMO (if it went to a reseller, anyway).

54% sell thru rate for a live auction, at the biggest domain event of the year, is kind of lackluster, the room looked bored, not much excitement, obviously the wrong names are going in, or only submit ones with no reserves. I am sure plenty of submissions went thru, seeing names like tatoo.me being an obvious tricky typo in the live auction is really a waste of time of the bidders online, and in house, and it showed towards the end when the room looked like a ghost town.

Yeah they emptied out, 33 domains through the first hour, 79 after two hours were auctioned. I was surprised Tatoo.me sold @vinsdomains.com got it so hope he does well with it.

Best name ever for an ice-cream shop I reckon.
Where do I find the final list of what sold and at what prices?...

I had my eyes set on ArtDesign(.)com and TechM(.)com, but both went above my budget.

or any refrigeration industry. ice is a necessity long after we are gone. Great investment in my opinion. Slow gain, but itll be a 5 figure soon enough.

Namescon needs to go to a class to learn how to pick good names for the auction.
All they do now is checking the traffic from ParkingCrew to decide which names will be selected.
Traffic means nothing if they are not quality names.

Considering nobody is really talking to much about it, even this thread is pretty dead, and the top 3 names made up the majority of the bids, with about 54% sell thru, I don't think it was a success at all. Nobody was even all that entertained, hopefully Godaddy takes it over 100%, and totally revamps it as right now the highlight of the show, has become really nobody cares about.

You had people ready to spend, and you couldn't get them to spend, they can turn around today and spend $100K on the open market, you have to give them an incentive, and reason to bid, nobody really cared to be honest.

You could have the best names in the world, but if a name like burb.com is not going to be sold with a $225K bid, then what's the point of putting on the auction. Given lots of names were 1 bid under their reserve, I would love to know who was bidding tens, to hundreds of thousands of dollars, then holding back on a single bid to activate the sale, kind of questions integrity of the auction a bit?

i fully agree. its just that some people seem to question lack of quality... i do not feel this was case... i am not sure what happens there behind closed doors.. but money rules the world..
