I previously invited input for a new brand name for a product/service that protects domain owners from unforeseen risks and provides optional insurance against economic loss. The concept was introduced here.

After a few days of reviewing domain submissions, we now have a screened list of prospects for this project and are looking for some input on name selection before making a final decision.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
None of the names give me a feeling of "yes, this is it!".

NameSoldier.com - It explains the brand, but i feel it tries too hard. And i don't like "name" as prefix for a brand.

NameSeal - I love this at first sight, but then again..."name" is a general word and "seal" gives other meanings before protection even comes to mind.

DNProtect : it explains the brand. It doesn't give that hint of authority.

Okay, that is me been over-analytical. From the list, it is one of those 3.

.
Funny story on that one.

It was listed at Dan for $280. @Leopard suggested it and I thought he owned it. I did not realize that it was in a public marketplace. Well, someone quickly bought it. Clever bugger. :)

@Rob Monster When something good is available in the market, a wise businessman acquires it. There is nothing wrong in taking the risk and owning it. We are the owners of NameProtector.com, we are in contest with your knowledge.

We are not aware of any other nominations (or private conversations) by other people representing the domain "NameProtector.com".

Thanks

Just acquire domainshield.com and dnshield.com. Both are available for purchase. You won't get a better brand than these for your project. Disclosure: I don't own those names or have any vested interest in them.

I did message these names days before to @Rob Monster . Didnt seem like it interested him. Yes, i do believe DomainShield.com and DNShield.com are among the best names in the market for the project

I'm a bit sad to see several names very close to what I submitted on the list and I think mine are as good or better.

For example:

VettedNames.com
VettedDomains.com

The submitted names is probably 5X (or more) of what I put in the poll. I tried to cover some variation around themes, and avoided variants of the exact name.

I imagine that there will be competing services so feel free to mention any names in the comments as competing groups will very likely find this thread when scouting names.

Few more i think suitable are (not from the selected list):

1) NameInsured.com

insured: covered by insurance.

2) NameCares.com

3) NameHeal.com

Open for your views!

Thanks,
Sumeeth

Okay, that's fully valid and I fully trust your judgement on this.

Then how about...

FullyValid.com

FullyTrust.com

Or maybe even...

InsuredFully.com

VettedName is the best option I would go for owning couple of reasons. The name implies whatever domain name that listed upon there would be highly secured.

The domain name indicates any names that is under the protection of VettedName would have gone through series of security measure.

Regards

Dont know what dobermain means , however the hand reg is good. With that said, what will be better and more suitable for this service is the singular version.

Combination of doberman (as in doberman pinscher protection dogs) and domain = dobermain...it will protect your domains.

I hope that explains it sufficiently.

I like CrucialNames because it makes the point of what you want to protect, I don't see this service for everyone but for those with "crucial names" they must protect

NameShield is not available. It is an "Online Brand Security" company based in France.

How about this one:

ExecuName.com

"Execu" is a popular prefix (as in executive). The name is memorable, easy to spell, flows off of the tongue (i.e. passes the radio test). Plus, this brand will allow you to branch out into other corporate/branding/security domain services. It is trademark-free and ready for global presence.

Disclosure: This one I own.

How come vettedname.com has 36% of the vote, is someone meddling in the votes, impeachment of that name?

Looks like impeachment is word of the week :-P . As for the name, we will see how the poll goes and certainly the decision will rest on Rob and Epik team choose what is suitable, as well as is attainable.

I agree Shield covers everything as far vetting and protecting the domains.

Any brandable will work

The following concepts have yet to be made available to domain name investors

Domain name pawnbrokers

(ones that realise that domain name investors may only need to raise

£200-£1000 etc of which most domain names are worth that

Domain name insurance

Every domain name investor and or owner should be offered the services of a domain name broker free of charge with all fees deducted from any subsequent sale

Mind you many brokers aren't interested unless the domain name investor has a
2L. Com to sell and they sell themselves

NameProtector.com is my fav. It's obvious just from the name what is offered. Could go back to 2010 and say it's seo-friendly too :xf.grin:
