Just saw this, I can imagine some people having a meltdown:
NJ law to require schools to teach LGBT history in class
New Jersey has become the second state in the nation after California to pass a law requiring schools to teach LGBT history in their classrooms.
Under the new measure, public schools must include lessons about the political, economic and social contributions of the LGBT community.

Probably coming to more states soon. I know a teacher and she's involved in this:
This could actually be a positive thing for the kids, understanding exactly what sexual orientation is, understanding that hate and harassment towards people that aren't like you can bring understanding and rationalization to the children, this program could also assist in many other aspects of life, racism, religious freedom, these are the things that I hope our children grow up to understand its proper perspective, I think programs as such above can educate kids on the many aspects of life that will bring them a much better and happier life, harassing, hating, bashing and bitterness towards people who aren't like you, is simply wasting life IMO.
Now, as I have said in posts. the thing that bothers me the most, is children being influenced to perhaps become gay on false pretences by seeing acts in public or just joining in the LGBTQ for the mere sake of acceptance. This type of program will take care of what bothers me.
It is almost always the lack of education, peer pressure, and influence without the education that makes people harras, hate, bash and be bitter towards to people because of the color, of their skin, sexuality, religion, and associations.
There need to be more programs like this IMO, Then people make their own choices instead of mere influence, peer pressure or acting on impulse.
a lot of people talk about Muslim people here in the US. my neighbor is Muslim on the right side, while my oriental neighbor on the left is Buddhist, we all kicked it in the Muslim neighbors' garage and watched the Superbowl Sunday. And had quite a good time as well. did i mention all the wives where there as well, My neighbors are good righteous people, fine human beings. the person I most conversate every day with is Jewish and I think everyone knows by now my wife is black and I have a biracial son.
All I can say, Life is good, I may not agree with some peoples ways of thinking on some topics, lifestyles, and choices, but I learn something from them, and for the most part, they are good people, good seeds, good human beings.
I am sure people feel the same way about me when it comes to my overall being, and I wouldn't expect anything less. we are all different in our ways, but we all human beings just the same.
