By the way Putin and Erdogan thank you for leaving Syria. They have plans to fill in the void and shape the world without you.

There's the rub right? How long does the USA have to stay in Syria? Does the USA have to fight Iran for control of Syria? Is the USA going to be responsible for rebuilding that state too?

If the people of Syria want a democracy, they should align with Israel and Egypt.

Show attachment 108070 Pretty much...

He’s setting the stage for his own Benghazi, Very dangerous for those diplomats - I hope they’ve gotten their families out of there. Maduro has threatened to cut off gas and water to them. Or is he thinking of “invading” Venezuela like he threatened a while back? Russia has interests there too...this could go global quickly.

Wag the dog.

12 other nations are doing the same. According to Marco Rubio, Maduro is being propped up by the Cuban military. It's dangerous but not as distant as Benghazi. We probably already have naval ships in range.

I don't have subscription to the WaPo so can't read the article.
I don't either. It's not needed.

That's not a conspiracy to sell guns.
I think it could be.

But the Europeans do not owe the US money. Each country determines how much it contributes to the general NATO budget. Some countries contribute with money, others with equipment or personnel and blood. But I agree they should do more.
It's not unreasonable to expect a stronger commitment from them. What is wrong is to treat your allies like dirt while cozying up with foreign hostile powers.

But if Trump really things NATO is obsolete why does he want reinforcement ?
Make your mind up. Hint: $$$$$$$$

I think they are obligated by treaty to give a % of their GDP, which they haven't done in a long time. Last article I read was Merkel agreed to pay more then didn't.

WALSH: You Can't Give A Lethal Injection To Criminals In New York But You Can Give It To Infants.
https://www.dailywire.com/news/42538/walsh-you-cant-give-lethal-injection-criminals-new-matt-walsh

Here is how a late-term abortion, the kind just legalized in New York is carried out: as it has been explained by a former abortionist, the baby is injected with a poison directly into his skull or torso. He then suffers a hideously painful death, which he will certainly feel because of his developed nervous system. The mother carries the corpse around in her womb for a day. The next day, there is an ultrasound to check if the baby is dead. If he isn't — if he has been writhing and suffering in agony for the past 24 hours, clinging onto life — then he will be injected again. The following day, the mother delivers her dead child. Sometimes she delivers him at the clinic, but if she can't make it on time, the clinic is perfectly happy to recommend that she give birth into her toilet.

God help us.

Speaking of lethal injection, in case you haven't yet grasped how twisted this law is, consider that capital punishment has been ruled unconstitutional in New York.

Many countries in NATO, which we are expected to defend, are not only short of their current commitment of 2% (which is low), but are also delinquent for many years in payments that have not been made. Will they reimburse the U.S.?

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 10, 2018
“President Trump does not appear to understand that the 2% of GDP spending by the allies is a guideline, not a mandate,” said James Stavridis, retired U.S. Navy admiral who commanded all NATO forces and is now dean of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. “He tends to liken the situation to a need to hound golfers for not paying their dues at the local country club. While it makes sense to pressure the Europeans to hit the 2% goal, we must avoid splitting the alliance over the issue.”
http://time.com/5335111/donald-trump-nato-spending-facts/

It's not always clear if Trump is stupid or deliberately lying but everything he says is ridden with falsehoods. This one is for domestic consumption.

Also, it is misleading to compare the defense spending level of the US in terms of percentage of GDP vs other countries, because the US is a global military power and has many military commitments (or should I say entanglements) outside the NATO framework. NATO accounts only for a small portion of that defense budget.
So we are comparing apples to oranges here.

For the record, the US contributes to 22% of the common NATO budget.

I don't expect there will be a lot of LTA but the law is so lax, so bad anyone can demand one. And the brainless ghouls celebrate on the floor of the state government.

America has subsidized EU defense budgets for decades. If the US wants to pay less, EU has to pay more.

He's quoting her ( gaga ) b/c she confirms his bigotry for Pence and Christianity.

This is a bit dishonest from you, knowing I've explained this to you many times. This one is an easy one.

I don't have a problem with decent Christians. I have them in my family and as friends. I only have a problem with the more crazy, fundamentalist types. Those for conversion therapy, anti-LGBT, anti-women's rights, anti-gay marriage. You and Pence fit into that category. You actually said gay marriage was harmful to society.

Typical. Fast response, don't actually say where I lied. No quote.

I don't have subscription to the WaPo so can't read the article.

That's been explained to you many times as well. Right click, open in new private window. And you're not going to read the article anyway, let's be real.

Just catching up, abortion again.

Do you realize there is nothing you're going to say that's going to convince people in the freedom to decide what they can do with their own body? We live in a modern society where abortion is legal.

In an interview with CNBC, US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross suggested that unpaid federal workers “get a loan” instead of lining up at food banks.

Nancy Pelosi responds to Wilbur Ross: "Is this the 'let them eat cake' kind of attitude, or 'call your father for money?'" Via ABC

Not everybody had a rich daddy that floated them their whole life.

While you're working on that, can I get a more simplified list. Just one with Dems that got over $400 million from their pops.

New York Times: Trump Got $413 Million From His Dad, Largely From Tax Dodges

Nice. Since he owns the shutdown, he could start bailing out the unpaid civil servants.
Forced labor is normally illegal.

Maybe you and gaga should actually read the Bible instead of commenting on something you know nothing about.
