Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
The auction option could be enticing. If you share domain name, maybe we have interest . . .

Thanks. I countered and am waiting for response.... if I end up taking it to auction I will certainly share so that you all can partake. If it does not go to auction I will wait for transaction to clear and then post. ;)

thats great.. well done
this is a very above average vr*.net

but I do expect nicer keywords 4l and other .net VR domains to be fetching some XXX and XXXX in years to come..

my highest so far was VRstock..net
$300
just recently

no action otherwise.. but don't own many.. I'd say.. around 10-20 total.. vr*.net

cheers... keep them coming! :)

Affect does get a lot of searches! I checked that.
Vr Affect gets some searches as well.

lots of how does VrAffect us . . . topics

howdy
hope the reading going good ;)

I will need to agree with NamesBond.. he's rarely not on the money and is prolly the best guy round here to listen too imo.. with a few close 2nds.

thus as he said, it appears yuo are fundamentally missing the part where you consider usability of name.. yes there will be many suprise sales in VR in yers to come as I always repeat.. hence we had VRdogfight 2k+ and many others already.. but... at the very least, if your aim is suprise sales, keep some basic rules such as.. no VR+verb.. in great majoroity of cases.. etc.. else you are putting your chance of sale pretty mcuh out of yoru reach. even with them suprises ;)

cheers

so they all went to european buyers or its just eur due to your auction sale setup?

Allvr if it's German, but androidvr I do not remember, I think it was American, paid Sedo so the sale will not be published and has whois private.

There is an error in my previous post, I do not own kitvr dot net, if I own vrkit dot net.

It is a pattern oft repeated... When I start to hear about strong .net sales in a particular vertical, IMO it is a sign that the category is beginning to mature and get a floor under it. If you couple the dot-net sales with some strong investor VR $$$$ auction activity (like that currently occuring on Flippa with "network" and "computing" names) along with majority start-up use of the term, then I think it is indicative of a category that is on its way to getting to the 2.5-5k sweet spot for above-average-to-excellent grade domains... All we need is a couple of years for the tech to catch-up (light standalone headsets) and Facebook and others to figure out how to monetize this sucker (social Vr), and we're off-to-the-races!!! (JMHO, of course... ;))

Question for my fellow German speaking domainers. I just handregged VRPokern dot com. I saw that the .de was taken and registered by an actual German, so I went ahead and gave it a shot. Does "VR Pokern" even make sense in German? Waste of money? Should I get a refund?

Thanks!

Pokern is a verb but there seem to be some interest in it.
Yes it makes sense.

The hyphenated domains are correct grammatically but do they make sense to others? That is the question you need to answer yourself. :)

came across these today... while browsing some random sites for ngtld sales... looks like those do not include some more recent sales.. so some of these were total buyer bargains a year ago.. even for ngtlds.. think stuff like VR.zone, VR.network.. etc.

great to see prices going up every year! some of these would sell for considerably more today.

most of these already reported for sure.. but I am sure a couple were not..... enjoy.

Thanks! Good to hear from a German speaker! What exactly would "VR pokern" translate to in English if pokern is a verb? "VR Poker Play"? "Play VR Poker"?

Just curious, since I'll likely be keeping this domain for a while....

I also regged it because of this:

That's funny, because I wouldn't register VRPokerPlay.com in a hundred years in English LOL. It's interesting how the value of certain keywords vary by language....

Thanks again!

German technology company MAGIX are looking to expand into the virtual reality (VR) sector and are planning to launch its own suite of VR products in 2018. The firm has also acquired VR software company Simplitec.

MAGIX is planning to significantly increase its presence in the VR sector. The company has already been working with Intel and Microsoft on VR and mixed reality (MR) projects such as Microsoft’s HoloLens headset. MAGIX has recently acquired Dresden-based software company Simplitec in order to increase its reach into the VR market. Simplitec are now working under MAGIX auspices on development of VR software products.

The upcoming VR suite from MAGIX will contain the new ‘MAGIX VR Maker’ along with MAGIX video software. The software has been designed to allow users to independently create VR applications for Web VR and VR mobile apps using 360-degree video and panoramic or 360-degree still photography. MAGIX plan to have the suite act as a complete solution allowing users to create and share visual worlds created with VR in mind.

The expansion into VR by MAGIX is in response to reports indicating that the VR market, particularly the VR video and 360-degree video sector, will continue to grow. According to a report by Digi-Capital, the VR video market alone will be worth over $6 billion (USD) by the year 2020.

MAGIX have produced multimedia software and applications for digital editing and archiving of video, music and photographic content for over 20 years. The upcoming VR suite will be the company’s first foray into creating software specifically for VR use.

The VR industry is on track for its biggest year yet, but it needs more content to meet the audience’s needs...

German folk use them due to the nature of their long words
