Many of my friend suggested me to post this on namepros so others will less likely to be scamed by shane.

So on 2016-09-26 and 2016-09-27 he bought 374 cvcv.in names and 471 cvcv.in names all together 845 .in names together. (these are random cvcv.in)
together he paid me on paypal 5805 usd.

I pushed the domain to him, then everything is fine. the deal was made through whatsapp chat.
deal closed.
then I saw him selling them on .in markect group, flipped some for higher price.

until 27the decenmber when i log in to my paypal to make another purchase, i see paypal refunded 5805 back to him, then i look up my email, i saw paypal disput which i completed missed.
buyer claim reason: NOT AS DESCRIBED! (this is after he sold and transfer out some of those)

I did not know paypal had this 3 months rules where buyer can claim the money back, and becuase i do not log on paypal so often and get xxx amount of emails every days, so i missed the window that i could have argued with paypal. but well lesson learned.

Some infomation of shane so other can avoid being scamed by him

good news is after I provided all the evidence to the registrar, the registrar moved the remaining (ones he did not sold or transfer out) to my account, so at least i got something back.

Becuareful when using paypal, and becuareful when you trade any domain that was processed by shane.

During the process of getting the unsold domains by shane, I had great help from .in whatsapp group, so special thx who provide information and also special thx to shiva , kemji, alexa and indy who tried to contact shane for me, but he went dark, not picking his cell phone, does not respond back on whatsapp nor linkedin.

You don't just not reply to a PayPal dispute... you don't find that odd? Of course not.

You would rather hang onto the sensational story rather than the fact that this dOPe tried to pull a fast one and got the wrong end of the stick.

I've been here long enough, and know people well enough, to know that around page 9-10 some truth that the OP forgot to leave out will come back and then it will all turn out to be a fiction.

Same old tired song of BS.

and people wonder why members dip out of the forum after seeing these things repeatedly.
The OP has pictures of the PAYPAL activity....I am going with facts, not intuition. So far Shane's response is more confusing than anything..First he said he could not control the names, but then said he released the names back to the OP.....Many more questions need to be answered before judgement.

Is it just me or is this odd that the last 2 major issues with finances, domains, and this forum have came from this PRO group who according to everyone are the most elite and respected of the industry.

Nope that's just a tag he posted under his name. I could put the same under mine if I wanted to. :)

His name has been shortened to S-B, coloured grey with a line through it.

No I been against this label crap and from the beginning and wish it wasnt around cause it instills false confidence which any newbie with a checkbook or pure lucky sale can get in.

PRO members are the financial/famous leaders of the domain industry. VIPs are important/leading contributors of the community.

Not sure why some folks are talking BS about OP's situation here.... As per the info the only thing wrong he did was not replying to the the dispute which he lost by default.

There are more questions to Shane rather than OP and if Shane is not wrong, he should have come to this thread and shared his view which he is not doing. This is only going to hurt him rather than OP.

He can take screenshots of PayPal activity... but can't reply to a dispute.

So silly...

Shane can reply to David Walker but can't reply here on Namepros..So Silly

IMO

That makes sense to most people, until you have millions.

Case in point; I knew a guy who had $100k stolen from him and didn't even realize it because he barely noticed the financial discrepancy. He was a banking VP for one of the big banks and made millions every month.

Most people that have millions aren't going to give a single care about a one-off $5k loss, let alone lose face publicly because they misrepresented goods and the mismanaged their eMail and missed a glaring PayPal dispute - it just doesn't add up.

People love sensational nonsense, and they love to hang onto it, but OPs actions and reasoning don't make much sense.

With that said; that ends my POV on this subject. :xf.love::smuggrin:
There's a difference between losing 5k that you didn't realize, and spending time on a 1 v 1 deal and contacting the buyer and actually spending your time and attention on the one-off deal. (as I stated) that's when someone would care.

But yeah a millionaire wouldn't care if they lost 5k that they didn't even personally interact with.

I became aware of this situation a bit earlier, as many members of .in whats app group. Was very reluctant to believe, as I was reading all the posts by Shane, how he exposed Adam Dicker etc. But I also know that the OP is fellow domainer, we were communicating with him earlier regarding .in domains. Some fellow .in domainers tried to reach out to Shane regarding this matter, but as far as I know he never responded back - we were already discussing that in .in group.

Now Shane refuses to respond here and uses a proxy - not good!

He could respond just once - would be great for everyone.

Can't belive people still use PayPal for transactions >$1000.

You don't just not reply to a PayPal dispute... you don't find that odd? Of course not.

This actually is not all that implausible as you make it out. I use my Wife's Paypal to receive funds when my account crosses the limit or I don't have access to Paypal (due to login verification issues or other reasons). Her Paypal is tied to her e-mail ID that I don't check. It would be very easy for me to miss a dispute e-mail in this scenario. Not a made up scenario but real. Oh and yes, I did just get her to check all e-mails from Paypal in her account to make sure there weren't any disputed charges or refunds (phew)

So silly...

To be perfectly honest, your aggressive vilification of the OP seems even sillier. You called his story B.S., you make speculative accusations, and you keep using the term B.S. Yet, you silently skirt around the massive, gaping holes in Shane's side of the story. Based on your last several comments, you sound very angry and personally invested in the matter.

gaping holes

Did you know that the full explanation by Shane to PayPal is available to OP in the dispute panel.

I wonder why OP didn't post that , because I would have if it contained 'lies'.

I am just looking forward to all the regular bandwagon bullies eating some humble pie. It's not even the claims, its the trash responses people regurgitate that make this forum less attractive to return to.

Thats you. Would you expect this same behavior from someone who runs a registrar and spends 'millions' on transactions?

I think not.

Why do you have 'limits'? Maybe you are a domain hobbyist - and that's fine.

OP is a 'professional', and should manage his business affairs better - and that's the main point.

I'm 1000% sure that this is a case of OP bungling his affairs, because that's what it smells like.

angry and personally invested in the matter.

If you are wondering why I am so vocal about it, just go back to my first statement.

Look at all of these spineless jellyfish jumping on a bandwagon to dump on someone that has done more good than harm and was banned for speaking out more against NP policies than being 'shady'.

He doesn't need me to stick up for him, but what I will call out is the reemergence of the Namepros Nancy mentality where people would rather mob up and complain rather than use their damn head.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

I don't know the OP, not sure about this millionaire stuff. But if so even they need something to do, maybe it's to continue domaining...

They didn't get their money by letting people screw them therefore if I were one I would let the dog out of the house too.

I'm still waiting on more details before I make judgement..

Just because you have met or have done business with Shane doesn't mean that the other person is wrong.

Shane might have spoken about Adam, Flippa, NP policies or whatever, but that doesn't pass the judgement on the current situation until he comes himself and talks about it.

As a part of his business? No. I would not. As someone who's hobby is domaining and who has a multi-million dollar main business, maybe. Mistakes happen which the OP has owned up to it. Not sure if beating and belaboring his mistake again and again as the ultimate sin changes facts.

Btw, regarding your "That's you", the same response can be given to your earlier comment on how organized you are and how the OP is not and that makes him shady. That's you - who organizes e-mail. A lot of folks DON'T organize their e-mails or even check it regularly. That does not make them sinners and criminals.

Why do you have 'limits'? Maybe you are a domain hobbyist - and that's fine.

Country and government restrictions. Please see http://www.sendmoneytoindia.com/guide/paypal_india_and_its_recent_restrictions.php

I don't have to be a hobbyist to have restrictions. You're increasingly getting irrational.

OP is a 'professional', and should manage his business affairs better - and that's the main point.

Where has he said he's a professional domainer? And are you saying that NO professional in the history of time has ever been scammed? Or made a mistake? You're living in a different universe than me.

I'm 1000% sure that this is a case of OP bungling his affairs, because that's what it smells like.
That's you. Bungled is NOT equal to scamming. By your statement, Hanlon's razor applies perfectly here (in case you don't know - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanlon's_razor)

You're increasingly performing ad-hominem attacks on the OP without even considering human error. And even if you do accept he committed an error, you're not willing to make allowances for that

Edit: Minor corrections

Not sure why people say innocent till proven guilty ... I think those people have never been accused.

In the real world the process is innocent till accused then guilty till proven innocent.
