The whole Afternic is so ridiculously buggy - what is Godaddy doing with all the money they get from commissions / expired auctions? Because it's clearly not reinvested in their outdated (and barely working) platform.
@Joe Styler - While fast transfer/premium network syndication, along with Afternic’s team of brokers, deliver great sales results compared with other marketplaces, the Afternic platform itself is incredibly slow, buggy and outdated. There are no portfolio management tools, no domain sorting function, and bulk editing functionality is extremely limited, so any changes to domain prices usually have to be made one by one.I'll second that!

Will Afternic see a major platform functionality update, perhaps together with a design overhaul, in 2017?
You mean Goddady is about to purchased "NameCons" for $1.79B" and they couldn't even fix minor issues
There is surely more work to be done on Afternic but there is a way to make bulk edits on names you have listed. We also have a few people hires on the Afternic side to help with large portfolio management. If anyone has a lot of names listed on AN or wants to list a lot pm me and I will give you the email address of someone to help you.@Joe Styler - While fast transfer/premium network syndication, along with Afternic’s team of brokers, deliver great sales results compared with other marketplaces, the Afternic platform itself is incredibly slow, buggy and outdated. OMG; did you just made that anology? Using that analogy you made McDonald hamburger; apply that scenario to the NameCons. No idea what we're talking about... back to the topic.
I get a bunch of price request/inquiries through afternic, but no one ever responds, counters etc..???

Who bought the Hamburger?
We have divulged it. It is an in house name used to refer to any sale that happens on the wider network, meaning not at Afternic.com but through one of the partners such as Tucows, Web, GoDaddy, etc.Probably both. They haven't divulged that information AFAIK so I'd only be speculating.
What's the price range you used? That means you priced it higher than they wanted to pay more than likely. Last 2 of 3 I priced were sold immediately.
What's the price range you used?
I price based on what i think a name is worth..I may start pricing lower though to see. I'm also thinking of using the buy now option only too.
I have this exact issue with Uniregistry.I get a bunch of price request/inquiries through afternic, but no one ever responds, counters etc..???
Gonna maybe load up the listngs as buy now then.. so the emails can be worth opening...
So GoDaddy is not planning to make any significant UI functionality or design updates to the Afternic platform in 2017?There is surely more work to be done on Afternic but there is a way to make bulk edits on names you have listed. As far as making bulk edits. You can do that with a spreadsheet which is available to anyone in the "add domains" section of your Afternic account on the right hand side of the page.
You can download a list of all your names, prices etc and then edit that and re-upload the edits. Note that there is a checkbox you can check when uploading that says "reconcile my listings" this replaces every listing in your account with the new list. It also treats them all as new listings which will mean you need to opt back into fast transfer at your registrar.
If you do not click this box on uploading it will only update the things you changed/added to the spreadsheet and not change anything in the account that is not changed on the spreadsheet.
It is pretty straightforward and there is a help section that explains it on the pop out that comes up when you go to the excel list section. I'll post full instructions in the thread as well in case you need them.
I can't really say what we are planning for next year. I'd be in trouble with the government But we are always working on improvements to our platforms. So it wouldnt be surprising if we made updates that would help bulk users who want to buy and sell names in general as that is what we have a history of doing. So GoDaddy is not planning to make any significant UI functionality or design updates to the Afternic platform in 2017?

thanks for bringing it up so more people will know.Must have missed it. Thanks for the info.
Is there anything you guys can do about the afternic site constantly logging you out? Surely this must be a simple fix.
I spend ages pricing up a list of domains, click on save changes, then it says I've been logged out and I have to start all over again.
