It seems .PRO is slowly coming out of the cage with cheaper reg prices than they were a year ago and major registrars like netsol taking notice of the extension and promoting it. B-)

Here are some that I picked up in last couple of days:

Alexandria.pro

Anchorage.pro

Arlington.pro

Belfast.pro

Birmingham.pro

Budapest.pro

Durham.pro

Fairfax.pro

Italian.pro

Lisbon.pro

Fire away with your regs after the relaunch on September 8th, 2008.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Chinese show is over.
Just ~500 domains netgain per last 2 days...

Another 261 (net) registrations should see .pro jump another tier to sit just below .wang -- based on the registrarstats.com rankings.

I better go and develop my list of .pro ...

.PRO is still unsearchable (hidden) at GoDaddy for keyword-lookup...
Not displaying among available TLDs...
So no any reason to celebrate that...

A couple of thoughts:

I think .pro will become more visible at some point. Visit godaddy.com and look at the upper right corner of the page. What do you see? GoDaddy with a nice PRO logo. And, we already know they registered GoDaddy.pro. Give it a little time.

I spent a couple of years doing bulk searches for .pro at name.com. A friend discovered that it was possible to do bulk searches by attaching .pro to the keywords. Yep, the search tool showed results. This was quite useful even though we could not register .pro at name.com, at the time. Things change...

VERY OLD story with zero-effect.
And this domain was NOT registered by GD but bought from Ukrainian domainer.
And open WHOIS and check Registrar: 101domain instead of GD. ))))

And I will be not surprised if GoDaddy is still not accredited by Afilias on .PRO
But acts as reseller of german RRPproxy.net (Key-Systems)...

I had some good .pro domains, registered in 2006, including some country names... but dropped in 2010.

Now I own 1000+ .pro domains (500+ 4N and 500+ 5N)

Another "retail" style POST over at LI. The more people who see this, the better it is for all .PRO investors. As I continue to write about .PRO domains and domaining at LI, I'll begin to link back to NamePros where there is a wealth of information for new domain investors.

Although I am not a domain "flipper" I know many individuals who frequent this forum are, but getting the word out to the general public requires much more than simply posting within this forum. If you have invested money in .PRO domain names, it's to your benefit to check out my LI posts, and if it's a fair article with good information, please give it a "like" and/or a "share."

That will actually contribute to greater awareness of .PRO and attract end users who are looking to pick up domains for actual development! Buying and holding top domains in any extension (other than .Com, .Net and .Org) benefits nobody except the person who registered it -- until the domain holder manages to get it sold. Increase that likelihood by supporting my efforts to put domains into the hands of end users!

And remember, if the domain an end user is looking for is one you registered or acquired in the aftermarket, that end user is certainly not going to approach me to acquire it.

I think the only step that is needed for enduser-sales - to attract/accredit major registrars and put .PRO on their homepages and that's all!
Lack of .PROper marketing - is the only one .PROblem since the beginning...
Unfortunately Afilias - is a diagnosis.

Its a good idea to focus on end user promotion rather than just a swelling of number of registrations. I am willing to renew these domains in long run and seriously looking for development for some of my names.
We want extension to come up as credible suffix rather than sheer increase in numbers as happened with .top and .xyz
Very soon we will be witnessing huge drop in $1 domains at renewal. This will entail huge number of panic sales. This will cause big shuffles in industry. Its okay if reg numbers are growing slowly. What is desired is increase in development fraction than number of regs. .com is king because of high development only.
I can expect a steady growth in dot pro retaining its old professional value. And our campaign should also be take it to end users as rightly stated here in many previous posts.
Let us lead by example. We can seriously think to put some of our domains for development.

I regularly work with .PRO-WHOIS etc.
And I really see that quantity and quality of .PRO-websites are no less than in .ME or even higher... but .ME has a few times more registered domains...
