Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Hahah :D no man not this time. I try to not to pass ~200 on gd expiring anymore. Owner renews mostly and i endup with a 350$ which i cannot use for 10 days after its charged from my creditcard

Credit cards always seem to take longer...but I've noticed Paypal funds seem to arrive much faster when this happens.

Here's a straight-to-the-point guide of the goings on when a domain expires. It's a great timetable if you see a domain expire and want to keep an eye on it.

Note that this is always true for expired domains that are registered at Godaddy. I'm not sure how similar other registrars' timetables and overall process are to theirs.

I invest in what has a specific broader appeal if that makes any sense to ya. Of course the best names are gone. You must find the less than the best ones.
It pays to understand the tech you are investing in and where it is going, what is needed. Unfortunately for me, many a better name was obtained before me. But these are all a hand reg that I became re-ignited in the space after getting vrgoggle in 2011 for a hand reg. It had dropped and nobody noticed because VR was considered dead at that time.
I don't expect these to reach a great value until 2017/18 or when 10% of folks worldwide that have a smartphone also have a VR HMD. More players and more competition. I sit and await.

The industry is heading the way of Smasung/Oculus type of GearVR for the masses as a media delivery system. But that is not to say that PC units will be out, just not as practical for the average person to buy into. It is the media side of things that probably will be explosive and a good investment. Notice I am not in the GAME space.

I am also in 3d printing/scanning/replicator space.

Not only is this not the thread for it, but by posting your boosting the auction prices for us resellers and adding extra competition into the game. On top of which, if I were the owner of the expiring domain and saw your post in this thread, I flipping renew in a second, which isn't helping the existing VR bidders most of which are probably members of NP. There's probably another 50 people silently watching this thread who are going to jump on board when you mention a name that is still available.

So please stop posting domains you do not own in this thread, it was not what this thread was designed for.

Just my 2 cent. Not sure how others feel about it.
