I strongly urge any of you going into business with Dejan Lesicar (NamePros member @venturefile.com and owner of sites like sexydress.us) to be very cautious. He is about to cost our company Brandroot a lot of stress and money as we pursue serious legal action against him.

In short the details are as follows:

4/08/2014 - Dejan creates a Brandroot account
5/09/2014 - Wuvo.com is accepted and listed for sale at a price of $6750
09/29/2014 - Dejan requests that Wuvo.com be removed from Brandroot because "The name was accepted to an auction event."
10/14/2014 - Brandroot receives a $3,000 offer for wuvo.com
10/14/2104 - Dejan rejects and reminds us that he removed his name

We then remind him of his contractual obligation of keeping Wuvo exclusive to Brandroot for a period of 30 days following the request of removal.

10/15/2014 - In the interested buyer impatience he raises his offer to $4500.

Dejan is intrigued and writes, "Thank you for the update. That is a decent offer and I will seriously consider it." For several days Dejan is unresponsive, ignoring several of our emails.

10/22/2014 - In a matter of minutes of informing Dejan that he is no longer welcome to sell at Brandroot and that Wuvo.com will be removed, Wuvo.com sells at full price for $6750.

10/22/214 - Dejan decides that he does not want to sell Wuvo at Brandroot and that my email stating that his name was removed ended his contractual obligation with Brandroot (which the email in no way stated).

Our financial loss due to Dejan's unprofessionalism is not the concern. Brandroot is now left with one very unhappy customer threatening us with litigation. We have informed Dejan that we will stop at nothing, "making this venture of [his] a lot more expensive and stressful than [he] thought possible."

You've been warned. Dejan Lesicar is very capable of leaving you in one sticky situation if you enter into business with him.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Hmmmm... I think your memory might be a little fuzzy on that one. I'm pretty sure that if I look through my emails I'm going to find a solicitation letter from you inviting me to move my 4 letter domain from brandbucket to you, and another unsolicited message from you offering me to list my domains for free.

Again, as I answered to this in another thread, 0% was spent on sending out this email and it was to Brandroot members, as we wanted to have a few committed sellers instead of many who were listing their brandables everywhere. This was not a ploy to get more sellers (and it certainly wasn't to NamePro members but to Brandroot members).

I see. And you haven't started a thread about the brandroot experience and you haven't posted in these forums encouraging people to give your site a shot? :)

@Archangel I have disabled your account at Brandroot. You're more than welcome to keep the published ones published (so long as they remain properly forwarded) but you are no longer welcome to sell any more domains at Brandroot.

Sorry, but I have zero tolerance for those who tirelessly work to defame our business. Now you can freely post your objections and empty ridiculing knowing now that you have a very good reason to.

Should our business begin to falter and fail I will reopen your account in hopes that you'll save it.

@bmugford @hawkeye

I don't see anything preventing anyone from continuing this discussion in a public thread?

This thread seems appropriate: BrandRoot Experience.

I also haven't found any rules that state you can't quote posts from a private thread into a public thread.

Brandroot just happens to be the OP of this particular thread.

Wow

What a great read all of that was!

So what's up next?

Per typical: I was right. This thread had to be moved so as to give you a micro-percent chance of winning your little lawsuit.

Thank you for your apology.

And putting words in my mouth is pretty much impossible: I've never stated you thrive only on NP users.

But your last comment makes sense: people need to just move on. I've moved on as soon as I jumped on-board. I've just hung around for the entertainment factor.

Please, PLEASE tell me how you think just NamePro members gave me a business? You do understand that Brandroot had only ONE seller (myself) for over a year and a half, and only just recently (this year) began accepting sellers, and now again closing it off to new sellers (because of too many signups and long waits). The only reason Brandroot opened the marketplace to sellers was due to the extremely high demand and requests from domainers. The strict policies in place are to deter as many sellers as possible, which hasn't been working so we are no longer accepting seller accounts at this time.

So again, I would love to get your feedback on why you believe Brandroot thrived because of you. Our prime focus has ALWAYS been buyers and never sellers. We have never once advertised to get sellers at Brandroot. 0% marketing was put behind sellers.

And the thread went to private for legal reasons. It was not my choice but the lawyer handling the issue.

For those still pouting in this thread, seriously move on! There are things much more rich in life!

Unethical, or is this in your ToS?

You disabled my account solely because you had a beef with me? I broke no rules but you simply don't like me, thus you disabled my account. Yay for Brandroot professionalism.

You're wrong, anyway: I was never trying to hurt Brandroot but rather, I wanted you to man up to your offense to these users. I'm a former Section Leader/mod here and I'm among the oldest users of this site (who still regularly posts). I'm on defense of my compatriots.

Yet you believe I'm a bad guy & you disabled my account NOT BECAUSE OF AN INFRACTION TO YOUR TOS BUT RATHER, BECAUSE YOU ARE MAD AT ME. The professionalism seeps out everywhere!

I've already apologized for using the word Nancy and explained it's context. The original post was a fair warning against a user who has probably done business at NamePro's. Instead of focusing on the fact that the customer got screwed because of the stubborn actions of the seller, this thread turns into an attack on Brandroot and continues to be, you being one of the primary instigators.

So what have you been doing at Namepros for the past 18 months ? Simply put, NPers are your suppliers and they add up to your bottom line. NP has representatives from the whole domain industry. The scope of things is larger than just a domain forum.

The whole purpose of your thread was to name and shame a client you have a beef with. It didn't work so why keep digging yourself into a hole. You are dragging us in a private dispute for no good reason I think. Maybe it's unfair to you, but NP is not the proper venue to settle this business issue.

[Sorry, but I have zero tolerance for those who tirelessly work to defame our business. Now you can freely post your objections and empty ridiculing knowing now that you have a very good reason to.
I think you are clearly losing your temper, something I have noticed on at least one other occasion. Good business is about nurturing and mending relationships, not burning bridges.
Perhaps you should refrain from posting and let the thread die, especially if a lawyer is handling the case (you are only making his job more difficult).
You did create this thread and you built up the drama.

And you keep changing username, what exactly are you trying to achieve ? It gives me an impression of immaturity and the way you handle things is unsettling. A legit business doesn't hide by changing name twice a day.
Nothing against you but please take a breath and keep a cool head.

The problem is that you've been clearly ruthless and threatening. You said:
We have informed Dejan that we will stop at nothing, "making this venture of [his] a lot more expensive and stressful than [he] thought possible."
This is so wrong.
This is not going to earn you any sympathy in court. You have a lawyer ? Let the lawyer handle the case. Don't take the law into your own hands.

And here is your thoughtful explanation:

I was referring to the negative Nancy.

You've never apologized. And really, you're being an asshole to ME. Who was it who went by your side when there was a conflict with Brandbucket buying your name on Adwords? I was never asked, but I helped in that argument. And now, you have the balls to treat NP users like little bitches and expect us to kiss your ass? Sorry, but I don't have room for another god. You should be thanking me yet, you're acting like an ignorant POS. And I haven't in any way hurt your site (didn't you say NP users could never hurt BR?) yet you decide to screw up my account because you're the boss and you simply want me to know it. Way to go, sir. I'll bet anyone on this forum--even you-BR will be on life support within 6 month, unless you sell it to a better businessman. You don't understand the business--and I doubt you ever will.

But I'll heed to your decision: I'll keep my 4 there and won't burden you with any additional submissions. Good luck with everything. You'll need it. That and a miracle.

Bingo. Some of us are giving constructive criticism, anyway. That's a side of bsiness

In all fairness to the seller, you closed his account but left his listing up. If you continue to promote a domain after severing ties with the domain seller, you have to acknowledge that you kinda played a role in screwing the buyer.

I am sorry for insulting the NamePros community and offending all those involved with this thread and any other readers who were offended. It was foolish and brash of me to call all of you Nancy's. I have the utmost respect for all the sellers at Brandroot and for NamePros members, even though my comments in this thread may not have reflected that. I understand that @Archangel and others were probably responding out anger towards my lack of appreciation for them and I have reactivated @Archangel account (and will offer 10 free listings and a featured spot at Brandroot for one of his domains) should he want to continue to sell at Brandroot. I certainly got out of hand and regretfully accept the repercussions of my actions here. I apologize for acting so childish and offensive. I hope I can somehow earn the forgiveness of the NamePros community in the near future. I am truthfully ashamed of my actions.

Thank you for this post. I know it couldn't have been easy for you to write. Certainly, there was a lot of goading on all sides, and I apologize for whatever contribution I made towards provoking your anger.

I think the best thing at this point might be to request that the thread be deleted altogether before anyone comes along to stir up the hornet's nest again. Best of luck to you and continued success with your business.

Thank you. This is all I was hoping for from you. Dunno if this was sincere or just a post to save one's own ass. But this is what we wanted from you--an apology. All right, we're good on my end.
