GD valuation tool is a joke in regards to new gtlds. It will value all keywords on all new tlds at almost the same level with no regards to the left.right combination, my.rehab is valued at $449.

It's better to search for the .com version if you want something more "accurate".
In this case mylife.com and take a % of that as the new tld value (that % could be less or more than 100% but in most cases, currently, less)

It is interesting as @Bohdan points out how much GoValue is not even in right ballpark on my.life.

I would have thought that their algorithm would have picked up on the huge search volume and results for my+words, or even if not, that other new extensions in exact word my have sold for good amounts recently, my.bio for $61,000 and my.tax for $22,500, both in 2018.

GoValue does not even approximately account for the across the dot match. For example, my.ooo, my.pizza, my.life, my.icu, my.gdn, my.dev are all within a few dollars of the same valuations, even though I think most domainers would agree that the actual worths are rather different. In fact they tell you that my.tax is worth just over $400 even though also pointing out it sold for $22,500. They do have a bunch of other extensions they value in $600 to $900 range with the word my, and they like .xyz even more than that.

It is nice that GoValue is free, and it does almost always give great comparators, some of which are not in NameBio, but it could be so much better if they simply automated using Google data to see how good the match on the two sides of the dot is.

It's always dangerous to compare a Donuts Registry new gTLD sale to something a domain investor might actually sell.

    It's apples and oranges.

    UPDATE: My.Life now in use

The domain name My.Life is now in use. Contrary to some of the speculations, it is used by a new MyLife mindfulness app.To have such a high value name in use that way indicates the importance of names for apps, as well as the growing mindfulness movement.

It appears that Meredith were possibly acting on behalf of a client in the acquisition, and at least from the Los Angeles contact address, My.Life seems separate from Meredith, although was promoted via reviews in some Meredith publications. However, Meredith is still listed in the Whois for the domain name as the owner. This domain name was purchased on a two payment model (both in 2020), so the ownership may change when the final payment is made.

To further complicate things, there are several MyLife TM applications, including this one, applied for around the time of the domain acquisition announcement, by a third USA company Synapse. The TM description (currently in 1B status) reads to me a lot like the market for the app, mentioning "health and wellness, meditation and mindfulness practice, yoga and stress management."

In any case, as was the case for the $200,000 shop.app sale that Shopify put in use within weeks of purchase, it is nice to see this valuable domain name quickly employed.

I found a great tool named Brinso.to evaluate a brand name. It is really cool and I hope it will help everyone who is willing to buy a brand name. They will generate a report and say how good or bad your brand name. I got 90% for my brand name.

By the way, Thank you soo much for the info Bob. It is really valuable(y)
