I've seen some calls & pleas 'round here (from myself included) recently for a list of seasoned vet's favorite tools of the trade listed in one place.

I don't want to step on anyone's toes or have anyone give their secrets away or anything (I'm new to domaining and don't know if it's as secretive as the affiliate marketing world is or not).

But, that being said, is there any way a few of the well-known, successful NamePros could chime in with some of the tools you use (and where you found them) to find really good, inexpensive domains (drops, soon-to-expire domains, etc.) and how you register them before anyone else gets to them?

Or at least some of the pieces you guys use to do what you do well. Consider it an early Christmas (or Hanukkah) present for those of us new to the industry...

Thank you & happy holidays! :santa:

Um, you can't be that much of a newb, I see that you're advertising four websites in your signature link, so you probably already know the tools of the trade :)

Those are all established websites of mine, not just domains for sale (I know how to buy a domain and build a site, just not where to find the best ones :D ). I've been blogging & doing affiliate marketing for a couple of years. I'm just new to domaining itself...

I was only kidding :) Seriously though, you're better off just searching the threads here to find what you're looking for, there's no one thread that will have all the information you require!.

TDNAM, Freshdrop are sites that you can see expired domains dropping, Namejet and Snapnames gives to the ability to buy and bid on premium dropping domains, you can use etibot and other tools to value your domains and also use namebio and dnsaleprice to see the historical sale prices of domains....these are just far and few between tools that alot of people use, and there are many more that can also be outlined!.
