Your Own TLD...

If you could make your own .tld, what would it be? Mine would probably be something like .dev or .irc!

I just think that .xxx or .18 (How fun would a numbers TLD be?) or similar would make more sense.

I have seen several posts about numbered TLDS....

I just wanted to point out that they aren't technically possible...

Let's just say that the .18 tld was approved, and I registered 1.18, and then, I setup the subdomain 192.168.1.18..... oops, looks like an IP, now what? I suppose the TLD could be possible, and as a restriction, all second level domains under it must be at least 4 characters or if under 3 characters, not be a number in the range of 0-255, but how fun would that be?

On a related note ... I am thinking that the ".WEB" retains the highest potential for the future (purely as a highly visible extension and for it's immediate impact upon release (if, in fact, it comes to fruition and there are no other encumbrances, limitations, etc.), IMHO.
Anyone know the latest with this? :gl:

Only people with the name Jeff would buy that LOL. Mine would be .Josh, but only people with the name Josh would buy that one :hehe:
