If you could make your own .tld, what would it be? Mine would probably be something like .dev or .irc!

On a related note ... I am thinking that the ".WEB" retains the highest potential for the future (purely as a highly visible extension and for it's immediate impact upon release (if, in fact, it comes to fruition and there are no other encumbrances, limitations, etc.), IMHO.
Anyone know the latest with this? :gl:

I'm just psychic, and always know that somebody is going to bring up .web

It really is the best chance for a wideley accepted extension ( :imho: ) , but at the same time it will instantly devalue many of the other small extensions that we've sunk so much into already

Good points, Allan ... which extensions, IYHO, would be affected first, and/or devalued the most heavily with the release of the ".WEB" (of course, all hypothetically at this point)? Nice "timestamp", as well!

I think .net would be the biggest loser, as the two seem to compete to a certain extent (waffle).
But a .web would be another legit player for those that have the money to spend on an expensive web presence, :imho: . Meaning that even indirectly .us, .de, .ca, etc. (All the ccTLD's that still retain their meaning for the most part) get hurt.

Still, .net would take the biggest hit.
