If you could make your own .tld, what would it be? Mine would probably be something like .dev or .irc! ;)

I do like the school of thought that promotes .inc , .llc, etc
It gives another "professional" extension that hasn't been bastardized like .pro ;)

Still, .net would take the biggest hit.

^^ Agreed.
That was my initial thought, as well ... so it's either (with us) "great minds think alike", or "the blind leading the blind". :p

Hopefully the former, right Allan? ;)
Thanks.

In 1997, there was an agreement with Jon Postel to start a web registry. The government wouldn't validate the registry, though. Some people took orders but lost their money.

http://www.webtld.com/

There was a website there until May 23.

.thisisthelongesttldthatanyonehaseverseenandidontthinkyoucanbeatitatallsothere - just to annoy people a lot

.a -> .z

.me, .you, .everyone

.poordoggie (i just had to)
.pd

.site - and a sub-tld - .my.site (or even - .my.web.site)

.www sounds cool

.crap (for all those crap sites which aren't of any use out there)

.happy & .sad

.fone & .phone

.freemoney, .freecars, .freehouse, .insurancefreeloans etc

the list just goes on. We can all dream! lol

acctually, do you know what would be really cool? tlds that you can get like websites!

so - www.poordoggie would be my website, and then people can order .poordoggie tlds. But this is just like a website, so you wouldn't have to become icann registered or anything, it would be as simple as buying a domain name and hosting. :)

.scam - for sites like www._scamsitewashere_.com ..*sighs*)
.games - for game sites (like mine! spiffygamers.com it would be spiffygamers.games)
.Rock - for rock music sites!! YAY!
.warez - for all those illegal sites..
.nothing - for people that run out of ideas like me..
.website - for .. websites

Removed the scam link, no need to give them free traffic. Thanks!

I would have to say .int, which stands for internet. The other one I would want is .it, which could be used as anything and stands for information technology.
Hopefully someone doesn't steal my idea!

Actually, .int is a live tld, but restricted to those affiliated with international organizations like the UN and WIPO. One example -> http://wipo.int

Whoa! Well then they should make that one available for everyone to register.
Although I just though of the best one ever. This one has to be taken a few a seconds after I post.

.PC

i would have just one or two TLDs remove all the rest. :D like .com, .net.

PERFECT IDEA. It is becoming watered down. I discovered that the .TV extension is a country extension for (probably misspelled) Tuvuala :D

I just think that .xxx or .18 (How fun would a numbers TLD be?) or similar would make more sense.
