Anyone here a member of the MySpace cult??

if so, post the link to your profile so we can all go laugh at you! :)

I had one, but canceled it because it was upsetting my girlfriend all the random girls asking to be my friend. What can I say, ladies love a man who knows how to maximize his ROI. LOL! :hehe:

Myspace really isn't about money benefits. Most of them are teenagers just talking with their friends or people looking for friends/dates.

cool, so basically it is a website for blogging and meeting new friends? i wouldn't call it a dating site by what i seen.

Pure hype. MySpace is no more of a pedophile hotspot than your local park. The issue comes when people are stupid about giving information out to strangers online. I can remember when there was talk about how easy instant messengers like AIM or MSN made it for pedophiles to get kids. Before that it was forums and newsgroups.

I personally find the site useful for keeping in touch with people whom I otherwise don't get to see or speak with as often as I would like and also for keeping up to date on some of the bands I like.

They did like 3 shows on Dateline NBC luring petaphiles from Myspace.com...there were hundreds upon hundreds of guys showing up at a sting house looking for sex from underage girls/boys that they talked to online. I would say it is a fact not hype and pretty disturbing at that. :) just do a Google search.

I'm sure you could find hundreds of guys through any site just looking for sex. It's pretty common knowledge.

And personally, I have a myspace :tu:
