I was surprised to learn this extension only has some 4k registrations total, for the entire extension.

An Amazon extension, nice and generic.

Any thoughts on why?
What might be the top names?

I guess the ".you .talk .fast" launch wasn't so appealing after the more versatile .now extension (there was also the ".free .hot .spot" launch shortly before, probably causing some market exhaustion). As for .you, there are some obvious good ones, such as
