If you sell domains for a living (or for FUN!) and not just buy WORTHLESS domains that NO ONE WILL EVER BUY, you have to consider the TAX.
In my experience, you're looking at 30-40% (Yes! It's ridiculous.) tax. So a $10K sell will only net you $6-7K, and that's not even factoring the acquisition cost and yearly renewal fees and the mental and anguish of dealing with low ballers.
So Price Accordingly Friends!!!
I have been plucking along at $10K a pop, but really, what's $6-7K gonna get ya besides a wild night in Tijuana and one or two curable STD's.
I think for run of the mill domains, $15K is the new $10K.
And for heirlooms...BANG! Shut up. Pay ME!!!
