You a student and eat at McDonalds?

I found out yesterday from a friend who worked at mcdonalds, when you order a meal, you can get one of the following for free, just show them your student card and ask for a free student hamburger or whatever you want, after you ask for your meal.

hamburger
cheeseburger
medium fries
mcflurry

Ive done this twice with my mate, using his card.

Not sure what its like in US, but in the UK it works!

I used to work at McDonalds when I was a fresh faced 16 year old and thats how it worked. But you need to buy an extra value meal to get a free burger :hehe:

I sure loooove the McD's (cheese burgers, Big Macs, vanilla shakes, and fries) ... but alas, I'm no longer a student and my wifey has me on the BiG 2009 Namepros Diet™, IMHO. :yell:

I have mcdonalds atleast 5 times a week lol, normally large chicken nugget meal with an extra portion of fries, im never up early enough for the breakfast but the double sausage and egg mcmuffin meals are soooo nice

Well, I am not sure if they offer the same here in my country. Because Mcdonalds gave coupons everywhere. And every time you order value meal you can used that coupon to claim your free.

In the US McDonald's policies will change from franchise to franchise (I worked at McDonald's in a few different states back in the day), but some test markets do have "Angus" burgers, Bratwurst, and other artery clogging goodies

It's interesting how the menu changes per locale. The Pouteine at Canadian McDonalds is excellent.

I heard that if you give the cashier a hand written note that reads, "Give me $100," they'll give it to you.

In all seriousness, I cannot eat at such fast food places because their workers don't wear food handlers' gloves. It is disgusting to watch how these workers handle the food. I've even seen them use their fingers to pick up the pickles, touch countertops, cellphones, and cash registers, and then pick up food, adjust their clothing and hair, and then handle the food, and also exit the bathroom without washing their hands. And don't forget the ones who will lightly rub their hands on a towel and think that this practice somehow kills the germs on their hands. My favorite sighting of all times is when I unwrapped a buger and saw a wet thumbprint impression on the bun. Mmmm, yummy.

Thank goodness for places like Wendys, Subway, and Quiznos. These establishments understand cross contamination. They wear gloves.
