Don't u know tumblr.com was acquired by Yahoo in 2013? Using tumblr as her personal domain name is definitely a very clever marketing strategy. IMHO there is nothing wrong with her.

Neither is Marissa Mayer (I guess). She decided to use Mayr in her web address and that's nothing unprofessional to go off-mainstream.
If she wrote Marissa Mayr in Name field of CV it would be of concern, maybe. But the use of shortcuts in the subdomain is completely her personal choice. CV has nothing to do with her web address and what's wrong with Tumblr which you have question marked? Just curious.
