hi,

can someone explain me the .xyz hype since one year?
i don't get it?

it seems all important are already gone anyway, but how is interested in xyz?
average people who are 0815?
sounds so boring to me?

so auction.com is crap now?
lets buy auction.xyz?

or its better for a company brand to buy 961428.xyz, because people can remember that easier...

.XYZ wouldn't be at the top of my list either, I don't really like the extension.

But if I can see a way to profit from .xyz domains, or any extension, I would be a buyer!

I agree with your points entirely. This is why .org was a great idea for orgs like charities etc. And .info for information sites. The extension of the domain name is part of the brand and really does change the perception of the audience.

I just personally do not think .xyz looks very serious, this is just my opinion and others may think it is perfect.

You would have said the same thing about com when it first come out. Lol. Let's be honest would you have bought bankloans.com in 1998 for $2K not knowing what com was or meant .... Some people who saw a chance did and now look where they are.

When new gtlds were up for grabs, Google and other large companies were involved in the bidding but often were outbid by much smaller companies, which I found surprising. Google, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, etc could have grabbed whatever they wanted because money wouldn't have been an issue. They just didn't want them bad enough I guess.

What Thedomains is doing is republish articles from outsides sources, but there is nothing that substantiates this rumor.
From the very start .xyz has been deceptive and inflating registration numbers in order to "win the race" against other extensions. Pump pump pump.
I would take anything from Negari with a pinch of salt.
