Not a detractor as I own some .mobis myself, but if the buyer is just another domainer and not an end-user then it's no different than any of the other sales so far.

Well let's examine that.

If it is a domainer and they dropped six fig on a name, doesn't that set the reseller price and climate on other resale names?

If an end user hasn't bought into .mobi for six fig does that mean the retail price has not been established (ergo the reseller price) and the domainer may have just drastically overpaid?

I think it could be news.mobi or one of the domains on auction by mtld. If I am not wrong , Jan 7th was the last day for bidding.

$xxx,xxx make sense for news.mobi anyway.

If news.mobi doesn't sell for MORE than flowers.mobi then you know value of .mobi has DECLINED. News.mobi should be a top 10 mobi name while flowers imho is barely a top 1000. Many use the sale of flowers.mobi as some indicator to the value of mobi. I think not. I think it was Rick just showing off by spending a pile of money to get his name in lights once again.

Oh the suspense of the deal is gonna kill us all this week.
