First time dealing with Sedo I'm the buyer

I put in an offer on a domain

Seller counter offered

I counter offered back

Then he countered back and I bought it.

Sent sedo the money yesterday and now today the transaction is cancelled because sedo says the seller no longer owns the domain.

I'm guessing theres nore to it becasue of the way the negotiating went

I started out $750

Seller countered with $2800

I came back with $1000

Seller countered with $563

So what I'm wondering is if this guy owned the domain when this started then made a mistake with his $563 bid and then just trasnferred the domain after he reliezed he made the mistake or did he never own the domain in the first place.

Whats your thoughts on this if this guy is still in controll of the domain I would still like to work something out I'm gussing he might of ment to go $1563 and then I would have made $1250 my final offer which probably would have got the job done.

Sedo is rediculous. I picked up a domain on the drop a week ago, and tried to put/park it on Sedo. Added it like my other ones. After three days I get an email saying they couldn't verify ownership, even though the whois clearly has it in my name like all my other domains. Turns out the domain is listed on Sedo with a previous owner. Instead of realizing they don't own the domain anymore and putting the listing under my account, they deny my request and keep his. I'm almost tempted to offer $10k for it just to see what he does. Maybe he would contact the new seller (me) and offer me $5k ;)

Sedo has changed ownership into a larger parent company, sedo is an outlet, it is not the holy grail, even though it is the market leader in sales, with the constant registering dropping of domains, etc... it is next to impossible for them to setup the resources to police all this at a fair cost to them, Sedo has helped me make many many sales, more than any other outlet, and just sold a domain this week I picked up from a drop for $5, for $2000 and it was a .net, foreign buyer via sedo. Most ppl don't know what whois etc... the non domainers, so sedo brings that third party trust to the transaction, even though they aren't 100% think the bashing is a bit much. Best of luck to all though, we are all here to make money overall though in most cases.
