Greetings ,

I had websiteology.com for sale on SEDO ...
I received a bid for $140 ...
countered $9000 ...
buyer countered $460 ...
I countered $8000 ...
buyer countered $900 ...
I countered $7000 ...
buyer countered $1500 ...
I countered $5000 ...
buyer ended negotiations ...

I would probably sent it to auction for a $2000 bid and maybe for a $1500 too ... but the buyer bidded the $1500 late on a Friday night (GMT) - early Saturday morning for the US ...

therefore I am thinking why should the buyer have the option to "set" the ending time to a really bad one , like late Friday night (GMT) , late Saturday night (GMT) or worse for Sunday morning (GMT) which is late Saturday night for the US

I think the end time should be set by the seller 3 , 5 or 7 days after he/she sends a domain for auction (he/she could send it to auction up to 5 days after he receives the bid) ...

What are your opinions on this ?

Or you could have just waited (I think you have one week to reply) and sent it to auction then.

according to SEDO rules ... after you receive an offer you have 5 days to send it to auction ... the ending time , whatever time YOU send it to auction is gonna be exactly 7 days after the offer was RECEIVED ... therefore the buyer can basically "set" the end time to a bad one , eg. Friday or Saturday night ...

gooster - no difference ... it would have ended late Friday night (7 days after I received the offer ... as described above)
