I made a forum like 1 year ago never posted or did anything on it theres just 1 section yet I looked at it today for the 1st time in one year and it says 4506 Posts, 4386 Topics, im thinking how can this be so i click on the section and every single thing are advertisment threads like wtf talk about spammers

haha yea but i didnt have anything on the forum it was a forum with one section with nothing when i made it i never did anything more on it

There were several security updates for SMF. Don´t know about mybb but you should always run the newest version.

Happened to one of my abandoned forums too. I was using SMF.

yea it happens if you dont moderate your site or install some spam blocking system.
had to do it on my vb forum few months back, very annoying lol
