DOT WTF ??!!

well the domain world is a reflection of the world we are in and from my persepctive it comes down to a 3 letter domain or ggtld or whatever u want to call it:

DOT. WTF

WTF. WTF

WTF.HUH

WTF.LOL

WTF.TRENDY

What has happened to this industry is beyond my comprehension today as it seems that its not a keyword or even brandable domain marketplace anymore but something i cant put a name to.

As u can tell this is all born out of simply frustration at the way an industry like domaining has been hijacked by certain people within small comapnies and big corporations that have manipulated it in some twisted way so the pt domainer has no chance to make much $ .

its crony capitalism at its finest and if u arent in the club u are not even to be considered unless you attend the domainfests or your portfolio is on par with the big dogs who created this in the firts place and were on board making loads of cash when it all took off years ago now.

so how many of u feel that this industry has gone the way of say dot mobi. - hyped to the max while the manipulators in control live high on the hog with your reg fees and rereg fees making them rich?

I realize some of us sell a few domains here and there and thats awesome when u do but come on it cant be just me that sees it has become a big joke now.

i see so many new posters on NP tell us what u feel the futire is in domaining and u veterans give me some feedback as to why i should continue on regging domains or should i/we?

I feel the same often: this industry has become a joke and more than ever it is fueled by the greater fool theory.
But society itself is a circus too, it is full of distractions to drive you away from the issues that matter, and interfere with your ability to think rationally.

The best is to shrug it off and go on with our lives (and sales).
Yes, there is still money to be made. You have to walk your own path.
