I believe that President Biden was right when he said that Russia is going to Invade Ukraine.

Any intelligent person is going to come to the same conclusion knowing that Russia has already decided to pay any price imposed on it by the West through sanctions.

Short of full military confrontation by the West there is nothing that can make Russia to change its mind as they see this as a golden opportunity to resurrect the once powerful superpower that was equal to the USA.

But Russia’s ambitions are not going to stop with taking over Ukraine since it already has made plans to increase its sphere of influence to Asia, Middle East, and South America and perhaps the whole World knowing that the West is most likely not going to do anything beyond just imposing sanctions which ultimately will hurt the West itself by effecting the Global economy in an adverse way the longer that they go on.

I personally don’t like any of the old ideologies, philosophies, and doctrines of Capitalism, Communism, Socialism, Religious Fundamentalism and all the other “ism” that are derived from the bad human characteristics of Greed, Lust, Hate, Cruelty, Jealousy, Prejudice, and lack of Empathy and that have been infringing on our rights in one way or another throughout the history because they can only exist through supporting inequality, oppression, suppression, torture, killing, and War.

When it comes to saving the World the last thing that I want to see is the further expansion of these old systems that have all already proven to be a failure in dealing with the existential problems that are currently facing Humanity and the Environment.

We don’t want all these political, Religious, and Racial parties and groups to resurrect their past, we want something new that can propel the World into the next Era that is based on the Universal Principles and Values that have been derived through Logic and Compassion and not through Force and Violence.

By “We” I mean all the Intelligent, Righteous, and Peace loving people of the World.

IMO

You are right @Jurgen Wolf , Merkel payed for Putler's oil and gas for many years, helping the funding and growing of Putler's war machine. And the worst is that they still are buying it and paying Putler every day hundreds of millions of euros that directly finance Putler's massacre and genocide in Ukraine.
Slava Ukraini! 💪 🇺🇦

German company Rheinmetall asks Berlin for permission to supply 100 Marder infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine

https://www.uawire.org/german-compa...-marder-infantry-fighting-vehicles-to-ukraine

"A subsidiary of the German defense holding Rheinmetall has asked the German government for permission to supply 100 Marder infantry fighting vehicles (IVF) to Ukraine, reports the newspaper Welt am Sonntag.

According to Welt am Sonntag, this is the first such application since the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

The newspaper points out that Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH is ready to sell these IFVs to Ukraine "as soon as possible." Moreover, the first shipment can be delivered to Kyiv "within a few weeks."

And AZOVSTAL is a shelter for just ~1% of the remaining civilians in Mariupol (they are blocked and under attacks almost 2 months already)...

Putler's words are worth nothing. He is a professional lier. He is still attacking Azovstal plant in Mariupol.
His words were addressed to Mordor's population...
And like always - they are part of infowar...

Zelenskiy: Ukraine will suspend peace negotiations if Russia holds sham referendum

Volodymyr Zelenskiy said that should Russia kill any Mariupol defenders or go forward with the independence referendum in the partly occupied southern regions of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine will suspend peace negotiations with Moscow.

“If our people are killed in Mariupol, if they announce a pseudo-referendum in the new pseudo-republics, Ukraine will not take part in any negotiation processes,” Zelenskiy said.

He continued by saying that going forward with a referendum “will not be useful for the diplomatic settlement of this situation”.

“It will interfere with the end of war in the diplomatic way,” he said. “This is definitely the wrong step from Russia. It bears witness that everything before that, all of the meetings of the diplomatic groups, all of that was just fiction and political theatre, by the way, with very bad actors.”

(Below is a G Translation of https://nos.nl/nieuwsuur/artikel/24...e-hebben-het-westen-gewaarschuwd-over-rusland - Published April 23, 2022)

Former Estonian president: 'We warned the West about Russia'

Toomas Hendrik Ilves guided Estonia to EU membership as Minister of Foreign Affairs and then was President of that country from 2006 to 2016. During that time, his message about Russia to the West was consistent: he warned that Putin's ambitions extended far beyond Russia's borders.

But those words fell on deaf ears, Ilves says. "Countries like Germany and the Netherlands said: 'Come on guys, that used to be, that's over now'. And we said: 'We are more nervous than you, but okay.'"

"And now this is happening," he says, referring to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. "And that's why you see all over Eastern Europe that countries are like, 'Are you finally starting to listen to us?'"

The attitude of Germany at the time and present in particular hit him the wrong way. The German Foreign Minister assured her fellow ministers from the Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) last Wednesday: "We hear you, we see you and Germany is on your side".

But Ilves doubts the sincerity of those intentions. Germany is reluctant to impose sanctions on Russia and supply heavy weapons to Ukraine. According to Berlin, there is too little equipment available and NATO must first give permission for the delivery.

"For other countries it is no problem to send weapons," says Ilves. "And I don't think that NATO should give the green light at all."

As far as he is concerned, it seems as if Germany wants to eat from both sides. "So that after the war they can say to Russia: we were not like the other countries, we can still have good relations with Russia. How else could you explain the ongoing dawdling in this matter?"

Russian gas

Another thorny issue is Germany's dependence on Russia for energy. Before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, 55 percent of the gas used in Germany came from Russia.

This week, Germany said it wanted to get rid of Russian gas. "We have made mistakes in the past in this area," Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said. "We can't reverse that now. But we must end Russian energy imports now."

But an acknowledgment for the years of warm ties with Germany is not enough for Ilves. Germany will have to bear the consequences for its own actions, as it expects from other countries, he believes.

"During the financial crisis, Germany said to Greece: you have chosen to borrow a lot of money and that now turns out to have been bad policy. These are the costs. But just as many people have said to Germany before: stop that energy dependency This is a clear 'see you soon' moment for Germany: you lecture others, but put your hand in your own bosom."
