I believe that President Biden was right when he said that Russia is going to Invade Ukraine.

Any intelligent person is going to come to the same conclusion knowing that Russia has already decided to pay any price imposed on it by the West through sanctions.

Short of full military confrontation by the West there is nothing that can make Russia to change its mind as they see this as a golden opportunity to resurrect the once powerful superpower that was equal to the USA.

But Russia’s ambitions are not going to stop with taking over Ukraine since it already has made plans to increase its sphere of influence to Asia, Middle East, and South America and perhaps the whole World knowing that the West is most likely not going to do anything beyond just imposing sanctions which ultimately will hurt the West itself by effecting the Global economy in an adverse way the longer that they go on.

I personally don’t like any of the old ideologies, philosophies, and doctrines of Capitalism, Communism, Socialism, Religious Fundamentalism and all the other “ism” that are derived from the bad human characteristics of Greed, Lust, Hate, Cruelty, Jealousy, Prejudice, and lack of Empathy and that have been infringing on our rights in one way or another throughout the history because they can only exist through supporting inequality, oppression, suppression, torture, killing, and War.

When it comes to saving the World the last thing that I want to see is the further expansion of these old systems that have all already proven to be a failure in dealing with the existential problems that are currently facing Humanity and the Environment.

We don’t want all these political, Religious, and Racial parties and groups to resurrect their past, we want something new that can propel the World into the next Era that is based on the Universal Principles and Values that have been derived through Logic and Compassion and not through Force and Violence.

By “We” I mean all the Intelligent, Righteous, and Peace loving people of the World.

IMO

Hey @oldtimer, that's not fair!

When I posted the formal Papal apology for genocide against First Nations on Easter Monday, you minimized it as my own political agenda, only to go on about sugar ants. After hundreds of years of genocide, could you not SAVOUR THE MOMENT for humanity sake? This is not compassion.

I'm sorry you must be delusional if you think for a moment @Sutruk, myself or anyone here on this forum would have any chance of influencing Putin's decision. This is not logical.

I applaud your intellectual effort and continued moral support for Ukraine. This demonstrates logic and compassion (with a mix of emotion - we're only human). :xf.wink:

The earlier marketing of domains... I also am beginning to wonder if there are not other ulterior motives. Repeating the same lines over and over is gaslighting.

IMO
You have changed,

I had a lot of respect for you in the Environmental thread, but here I have noticed that you have been using every opportunity to devalue my efforts as a Human Rights activist and now are doubting my vision for the future of Humanity and our Home Planet, I can only assume that it's because that it doesn't fit with your political agendas and interests.

I am trying to save lives and everyone is attacking my motives that says a lot to me about you guys.

Nevertheless I have to go to a doctor's appointment so I can't stay,

3000 people have been saved from being killed and that's all that matters to me now.

Thanks @Cannuck , appreciated! :xf.wink: And yes, sometimes I am quite "emotional"... but watching all the massacre happening right now in Ukraine... it's just heartbreaking.

By the way, thank you too for your moral support for Ukraine and your contributions in this thread (y)

How can you say I have undermined your efforts when it is a collective humanitarian effort? You have a vision, just as anyone, it just seems disingenuine to me when one does not walk the talk.

I am trying to save lives and everyone is attacking my motives that says a lot to me about you guys.

Nevertheless I have to go to a doctor's appointment so I can't stay,
Good call, God helps those who help themselves (and sometimes we need to help each other along the way).

Take care... :doctor:

You know what they say about assumptions. Now tell me, what would be my political agenda to post this yesterday in the political thread...

As a result of the War on Terror that began in 2001, 1.2 million metric tons of greenhouse gases have been released, the equivalent to the annual emissions of 257 million passenger cars - more than twice the current number of cars on the road in the U.S today.

Global Warming will destabilize large portions of the world which may lead to more war.

The US military uses more oil than any other institution in the world.

Nah, you've become proficient at doing that all on your very own. Have you considered that your vision is warped? Kudos on starting the thread though. I appreciate all the input/news on here, believe it or not it is my main source of what the hell is going on, in hell.

At least I have a vision,

It could be wrong, but it could also be right,

Why do you have to go out of your way to make my vision look wrong without even engaging in any debates or discussions about it.

If you were posting on this thread regularly perhaps I could understand you criticism,

But for you to just drop by to try to devalue my efforts as someone who wants to help save the Humanity and our Home Planet by creating awareness about certain issues and problems says a lot about your biases and agendas.

I guess only in your mind what you are doing sounds okay, but in reality you will be more productive by taking your focus off of me and by trying to come up with something constructive to add to the discussions here that can actually help improve the situation the World is in.

Consider this as my last warning to you and anyone else who wants to drop by for the sole purpose of dishing out some hate towards me or others.

Now let's get back to the subject of this thread which is how to avoid getting into a catastrophic situation for Humanity and our Home Planet.

Thanks for the words of encouragement,

At least I worry about the future of Humanity and our Home Planet, that's more genuine than 99% of the population that never even think about this stuff.

I've know for many years how resilient the Ukrainian people are...they deserve their own lands and the right to determine their own course. The video below, I'm sure, is indicative of all those serving to repel the demon horde.

This video was filmed inside https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2S1_Gvozdika

Today have seen her interview on TV...
Her name is Тетяна Чубар (Tetiana Chubar) from Konotop, in the Army since 18 (2017)...
Mother of two.

We will win!
Slava Ukraini!

In a couple prior posts I mentioned we have not seen weapons at our disposal used in combat before...the one below is one of the lesser ones but should prove to be effective.

Meet the Phoenix Ghost, a secretive new drone the U.S. fast-tracked for delivery to Ukraine

The United States has spent roughly $3.4 billion on sending military assistance to Ukraine since Russia invaded on Feb. 24. The latest $800 million package, unveiled in mid-March, includes funds earmarked to gift Kyiv a brand new line of drones that have never been deployed in combat before.

The Phoenix Ghost, an unmanned aerial vehicle, was partly designed with Ukraine in mind, the Pentagon says.

“[The drone] was developed for a set of requirements that very closely match what the Ukrainians need right now in Donbas,” Pentagon press secretary John Kirby told reporters on Thursday, referring to the Eastern region of Ukraine, where Russia has focused its assault.

Previously, a different Pentagon official had implied the Phoenix Ghost was created specifically for Ukraine, but Kirby walked back those comments, stating that the drone had been in development long before Russian President Vladimir Putin launched the invasion.

“You’re not going to have 120 on your shelves if you just started [building] them on the 24th of February,” Kirby said, noting the U.S. will send 121 units of the drone to Ukraine.

The drone has been developed by the California-based AEVEX Aerospace—a secretive company that says it provides “full-spectrum airborne intelligence solutions.”

Kirby said he had “no idea” how the drone got its name—which does seem like a misnomer because, unlike a phoenix, the drone will not rise again. The unmanned aerial vehicle is designed to be flown only once.

The Phoenix Ghost is similar to the "switchblade” drones—also known as “kamikaze drones” or “loitering munitions"—the U.S. has already delivered to Ukraine in that it doesn't fire on an enemy from a far distance. Instead, such drones hang in the air before crashing into their target and detonating an anti-armor warhead on impact.

“[The Phoenix Ghost] like almost all unmanned aerial systems, of course, has optics. So it can also be used to give you a sight picture of what it’s seeing, of course, but its principal focus is attack,” Kirby said, adding that the drone is designed to “deliver a punch.”

Drones have proved a pivotal weapon in Ukraine’s resistance against Russian invasion. One Turkish-designed drone, the Bayraktar TB2, has been so successful in launching attacks against Russian tanks and missile bases that when the Armed Forces of Ukraine asked a soldier to write a folk song to rally morale, the soldier rapped about the Turkish drone.

KYIV/MARIUPOL, April 22 (Reuters) - A Russian general declared on Friday that Moscow wants to seize all of southern and eastern Ukraine, far wider war aims than it had acknowledged as it presses on with a new offensive after its campaign to capture the capital Kyiv collapsed last month.

Ukraine said the comments by Rustam Minnekayev, deputy commander of Russia's central military district, had given the lie to Russia's previous assertions that it has no territorial ambitions.

"They stopped hiding it," Ukraine's defence ministry said on Twitter. Russia had "acknowledged that the goal of the 'second phase' of the war is not victory over the mythical Nazis, but simply the occupation of eastern and southern Ukraine. Imperialism as it is."

I would agree with this assessment: Putin has already lost the war in Ukraine. He is now merely looking for a battle win so that he can claim a shallow victory. IMO

"Military brotherhood. On April 21st, Ukrainian paratroopers shot down a russian helicopter with a Stinger. And when the second helicopter arrived, it was shot down by Marines. Ukrainian Armed Forces are strong, both on the ground and in the air."

From Luhansk region: Ukrainian tank destroys Russian armoured personnel carrier in a single shot.

"This is the incredible moment a Ukrainian tank fires through a demolished building to take out a Russian armoured personnel carrier on the other side in a single shot."

And this is why Ukraine needs more tanks for self defense from Putler's aggression and invasion.

They mean Luhansk region.
Luhansk city is occupied since 2014, no our tanks there.
