I believe that President Biden was right when he said that Russia is going to Invade Ukraine.

Any intelligent person is going to come to the same conclusion knowing that Russia has already decided to pay any price imposed on it by the West through sanctions.

Short of full military confrontation by the West there is nothing that can make Russia to change its mind as they see this as a golden opportunity to resurrect the once powerful superpower that was equal to the USA.

But Russia’s ambitions are not going to stop with taking over Ukraine since it already has made plans to increase its sphere of influence to Asia, Middle East, and South America and perhaps the whole World knowing that the West is most likely not going to do anything beyond just imposing sanctions which ultimately will hurt the West itself by effecting the Global economy in an adverse way the longer that they go on.

I personally don’t like any of the old ideologies, philosophies, and doctrines of Capitalism, Communism, Socialism, Religious Fundamentalism and all the other “ism” that are derived from the bad human characteristics of Greed, Lust, Hate, Cruelty, Jealousy, Prejudice, and lack of Empathy and that have been infringing on our rights in one way or another throughout the history because they can only exist through supporting inequality, oppression, suppression, torture, killing, and War.

When it comes to saving the World the last thing that I want to see is the further expansion of these old systems that have all already proven to be a failure in dealing with the existential problems that are currently facing Humanity and the Environment.

We don’t want all these political, Religious, and Racial parties and groups to resurrect their past, we want something new that can propel the World into the next Era that is based on the Universal Principles and Values that have been derived through Logic and Compassion and not through Force and Violence.

By “We” I mean all the Intelligent, Righteous, and Peace loving people of the World.

Our only hope, before the invasion of Ukraine drags neighboring countries/NATO into the war, is that through some miracle, the citizens of Russia can make/force a change from within.

Considering what is happening to protesters in Russia, this young man might not be posting much longer. Roughly translated, I think his sign says "hug me if you are against the war".
The citizens of Russia could definitely make/force a change from within. They have done it before (see 1917 russian revolution). Even just by going to the streets and protesting by millions they could change something there.
But I guess, unfortunately, there's a big amount of people already brainwashed because they have been heavily misinformed by their dictator. 22 years of Putin's dictatorship managing all the media and blocking all "non friendly" media. Now blocking every media that's against Putin way harder.

But as the West won't (cannot) help directly Ukraine by entering with troops, we only rely on the effectiveness of sanctions. And they can be also very effective. Not so fast as a military clash, but maybe even more destructive to Russia. Russia's economy can fall in a way that finally russian citizens will get it, and will have to kick out their dictator.

Well, actually that is better than saying that "Putin is a genius" for invading Ukraine. Trump is Putin's puppet and always will be. The wannabe dictator has Putin as a role model.
It's been a rough few weeks for the pro-Putin, pro-fascism, anti-democracy wing of the party.

On top of looking awful for supporting Putin, their fake problems of things like comparing wearing a mask to Nazis are kind of trivialized in comparison to the actual real suffering faced by people in Ukraine.

You're obsessive complaints have convinced me. Encouraging Russia to invade Ukraine and ruining the world economy for zero emission energy will be awesome.

Putin's threat has encouraged Europe to not only fight Climate Change, but reduce reliance on foreign energy imports...

REPowerEU: Joint European action for more affordable, secure and sustainable energy

On Tuesday, the European Commission rolled out a package of emergency response measures that, if fully implemented by EU countries, would slash the bloc's dependence on Russian gas imports — currently 40 percent of all consumption — by two-thirds this year and entirely by the end of this decade.

Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said it was “a focused acceleration of the European Green Deal” as a “strategic investment in our independence.”

A large share of the initial savings would come from finding new suppliers of gas. But the EU wants to double down with a rapid boost of renewable energy and measures to cut energy use. Commission Green Deal chief Frans Timmermans called it “a huge opportunity.”

The new initiatives show the Commission once again turning to the Green Deal, its flagship climate package, as a way to make the most of a crisis. Two years ago, the EU put the Green Deal at the core of its pandemic recovery plan. Now, the deal — meant to make the EU climate neutral by 2050 — is empowering Brussels to unite national capitals in the fight against Putin and his invasion of Ukraine.

It has been done before, but can the West trust Putin not to engage humanitarian flights?

The Berlin Airlift - one of the largest humanitarian aid missions in history.

On June 24, 1948, Soviet forces blockaded all road, rail and water routes into Berlin’s Allied-controlled areas, stifling the vital flow of food, coal and other supplies. Soviet troop numbers dwarfed those of the Allies, which had drawn down after the war, so there was little the Allies could do about it militarily.

But the Soviets couldn’t block Allied airspace, so U.S. and UK forces took to the skies to get supplies to the Allied sectors. On June 26, the U.S. launched Operation Vittles, which the U.K. later joined. It was the biggest aerial resupply mission ever embarked upon.

On Easter Sunday, April 17, 1949, the constant procession of planes managed to deliver 13,000 tons of cargo, including the equivalent of 600 railroad cars of coal – all in one day!

Russia:
We started a little military operation to protect the Pro Russian people in the Donbas region and if NATO hadn’t interfered by arming Ukrainians this operation would have been finished in couple of days and we wouldn’t be in a position that we now have to take over the whole Ukraine.

NATO:
We feel an obligation to protect democracy and help freedom loving people defend themselves against aggression and invasion specially when it’s happening so close to our borders in Europe.

Ukraine:
It doesn’t matter how things got to this point, but now that this conflict has gotten to a whole new level where Infants and small children are being bombed and that thousands of people are at risk of mass starvation a direct intervention by NATO should no longer be avoided.

I'm seeing reports that a release of ammonia might happen in the near future...supposedly part of a false flag operation. I hope it is incorrect information.

ADD: these pictures are heartbreaking.

Sure dude.

AKA Russia is planning to blame Ukraine for a potential chemical attack that they actually carry out.

The problem for Russia is they have absolutely zero credibility at this point.

That's the plan. There is no way Ukrainians would do this to their own people/soil. Analysts have been waiting on something...I do not believe it will be a nuke...bio or chem is more likely.

In the videos of incoming invaders, you can clearly see the types of mobile weapons platforms they are/were moving into the country. The weapon below has been spotted many times. The video below will give an overview for anyone that is not familiar with this type of weapon. I do not believe it is the one used on the hospital...it was an air burst device.

The Russian propaganda reminds me a lot of Baghdad Bob. Trust us, not your eyes.

Or the famous quote from 1984 -

“The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”

Let's not forget the other pesky communists on our planet. As far as the Ukraine invasion is concerned, they are sitting back taking notes. We (US and NATO) have weapons not seen in combat before...my armchair opinion is that all enemies of democracy are curious as to what they are and how they operate.

They (communist china) have been busy...

Cyber firm: At least 6 US state governments hacked by China

WASHINGTON (AP) — Hackers working on behalf of the Chinese government broke into the computer networks of at least six state governments in the United States in the last year, according to a report released Tuesday by a private cybersecurity firm.

The report from Mandiant does not identify the compromised states or offer a motive for the intrusions, which began last May. But the Chinese group believed responsible for the breaches, APT41, is known to launch hacking operations both for old-fashioned espionage purposes and for financial gain.

“While the ongoing crisis in Ukraine has rightfully captured the world’s attention and the potential for Russian cyber threats are real, we must remember that other major threat actors around the world are continuing their operations as-usual,” said Geoff Ackerman, a principal threat analyst at Reston, Virginia-based Mandiant Inc.

The United States recognized the presence of its biological laboratories in Ukraine.

During a Senate hearing, Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland said that Washington feared that the materials accumulated there would fall into the hands of Russian forces.

According to Ambassador Antonov, the State Department fears that Russian scientists can confirm the facts of violations by Ukraine and the United States of the UN Convention on the Prohibition of Biological and Toxin Weapons.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the United States spent more than $200 million on the work of laboratories in Ukraine, which participated in the American military biological program.
