I believe that President Biden was right when he said that Russia is going to Invade Ukraine.

Any intelligent person is going to come to the same conclusion knowing that Russia has already decided to pay any price imposed on it by the West through sanctions.

Short of full military confrontation by the West there is nothing that can make Russia to change its mind as they see this as a golden opportunity to resurrect the once powerful superpower that was equal to the USA.

But Russia’s ambitions are not going to stop with taking over Ukraine since it already has made plans to increase its sphere of influence to Asia, Middle East, and South America and perhaps the whole World knowing that the West is most likely not going to do anything beyond just imposing sanctions which ultimately will hurt the West itself by effecting the Global economy in an adverse way the longer that they go on.

I personally don’t like any of the old ideologies, philosophies, and doctrines of Capitalism, Communism, Socialism, Religious Fundamentalism and all the other “ism” that are derived from the bad human characteristics of Greed, Lust, Hate, Cruelty, Jealousy, Prejudice, and lack of Empathy and that have been infringing on our rights in one way or another throughout the history because they can only exist through supporting inequality, oppression, suppression, torture, killing, and War.

When it comes to saving the World the last thing that I want to see is the further expansion of these old systems that have all already proven to be a failure in dealing with the existential problems that are currently facing Humanity and the Environment.

We don’t want all these political, Religious, and Racial parties and groups to resurrect their past, we want something new that can propel the World into the next Era that is based on the Universal Principles and Values that have been derived through Logic and Compassion and not through Force and Violence.

By “We” I mean all the Intelligent, Righteous, and Peace loving people of the World.

when I call the names, I'd like to,
I would lose my account here

stupid

By calling people names and bullying others into silence you are going to lose a lot more than just your account,

You are going to lose your credibility not only here on this forum but also in the eyes of the whole World.

I don't understand why you are arguing with me, we both agree that this is a horrible situation and we are both disturbed by seeing all these innocent people getting killed and their homes and cities getting demolished,

The only difference between us is how we want to deal with this situation going forward,

Europe wants to put maximum pressure on Russia in order to make them deescalate this situation,

On the other hand I believe that faced with a nuclear superpower such as Russia NATO has to be willing to make some compromises by meeting some of Russia's security demands.

As I already mentioned here if Hitler had nuclear weapons back in 1945 the World would have had to deal with him in a totally different way than it did as far as choosing to negotiate with him rather than trying to strangle and kill him.

Russia is not like a third World country that NATO can bomb into submission,

When you try to strangle a Country like Russia what do you think it's going to do,

Well it's going to strangle you back.

Bullying and insulting people into silence is only going to make this situation worse. In my opinion the only way to avoid having a Nuclear Armageddon is for all sides to continue to engage in respectful dialogue and diplomacy and be willing to make some compromises.

I agree with most what you said.

Sanctions is the key to hurting Putin, his life as it was (traveling country to country, meeting various leaders around the world, going sporting events, Olympics etc) all that is over, you have to make Russia (as a nation) life a bit Rubbish where Russian people want to get out of Russia or there’s an uprising with its people or Putin’s cronies (people around him) get fed up and they take him out or arrest him.

Diplomatic talks might be underway between Russia and US as Russian delegation of high ranking officials supposedly is headed to Washington.

We will see soon if this is true and how it's going to turn out.

In my opinion the most immediate subject that needs to be resolved should be the humanitarian aid efforts and the evacuation of civilians which requires maintaining the temporary ceasefire in cities such as Mariupol which apparently are still being shelled sporadically by Russian forces even after a ceasefire was agreed to in order for the civilian population to be evacuated.

In the long run giving Russia a buffer zone between its borders and NATO is probably the only way that is going to bring this conflict to an end without further bloodshed of Russia expanding its military operations into the East European Countries.

Ceasefire talks 'ongoing' to evacuate civilians from Mariupol and Volnovackha, says Ukraine

12:58 - Ceasefire talks with Russia are “ongoing” to create a humanitarian corridor out of Mariupol and Volnovakha, Ukraine has said after shelling halted the evacuation of civilians.

“The Russian side is not holding to the ceasefire and has continued firing on Mariupol itself and on its surrounding area,” said Kyrylo Tymoshenko, the deputy head of president Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s office, reports the Associated Press. “Talks with the Russian Federation are ongoing regarding setting up a ceasefire and ensuring a safe humanitarian corridor.”

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s deputy prime minister, Iryna Vereshchuk, said Russia breached the deal in Volnovakha as well. “We appeal to the Russian side to stop firing,” she said.

Just an idea:

It would be nice if our friends here at NamePros management ( @Paul ) could start a donation program so everyone in the domain Industry can collectively contribute some funds towards helping the Ukrainian People who have been displaced in this conflict.

We all know who you all are that have been making a lot of dough through domain sales and registry and registrar operations recently. :)

It is very clear that Ukrainians do not want to be ruled by a dictator anymore. In Putin's dementia head he thinked that his tanks would enter triumphantly and claimed by ukrainians in Ukraine, how wrong was the russian dictator.
Ukrainians have lived the last years in a democracy and won't come back to a dictatorship anymore, for nothing in this world.
Ukraine won't be anymore a puppet State of any russian dictator, name it Stalin or Putin.

The only puppet there was Trump and his puppet media like Fox. A real puppet of Putin.

Putin himself could be a puppet, tbh. ;)

Latest news:

Western channels stop broadcasting in Russia - a number of Western channels announced the termination of broadcasting in Russia:

1. CNN
2. CBS News
3 Bloomberg
4. ABC News
5. BBC
6. CBC

Putin will jail for 15 years any journalist talking about the war crimes currently happening in Ukraine. So no news agency wants their journalists to be jailed for 15 years by a deranged dictator.

There is a HUGE difference between a conscripted army (puppets following orders) and a motivated base of freedom fighters with nothing left to lose.

Unfortunately even the bravest people can eventually be bombed into submission by a much larger force such as Russia is using in this theater.

The only way that NATO can help the Ukrainian fighters is either by establishing a no-fly zone in Ukraine (which will take this conflict to a whole new level) or by being willing to make some compromises through diplomatic talks in order to end this conflict by meeting some of Russia's security demands.

Not sure if Trump was a puppet, but he definitely had strings. :xf.wink:

Putin himself could be a puppet, tbh. ;)

He is a product of the former Soviet state. I don't see him rising to power without owing his comrads favours.

Putin can bomb Ukraine, he can even take control due to his way superior army and weapons. But he will never take control nor submit ukrainians. He won't be able to manage and rule ukrainians the same way he is ruling Russia, because ukrainians do not want to be anymore under a dictator control.
Even if the dictator army takes control of big cities, there will be thousands, millions of ukrainians never submitting nor giving up to a dictator order's anymore.
So my bet is that it is IMPOSSIBLE for Putin to take control and maintain this control over all Ukraine. Maybe Donbas region, but surely not all Ukraine.

This was two days ago. And still under heavy shelling...

Mariupol under siege: 'We are being completely cut off'

Residents of the Ukrainian port city of Mariupol have told the BBC they are trying to survive a relentless barrage of Russian shelling that has smashed residential districts and cut off power and water supplies.

"There has been no light, no heat, and no water now for two full days and we have hardly any food left," said Maxim, 27, an IT developer who was hiding in his grandparents' apartment on Thursday morning.

Mr Orlov still hasn't been able to reach his father, mother and brother, who live together in a residential district that has been heavily bombarded since Monday night, he said.

"I can't reach them by any means, the shelling is continuous."

Alexander, a 44-year-old engineer in the city, said he was sheltering with his wife, two sons and mother in a five-storey building.

"We have been bombed and shelled for five days and right now I can hear shots and bombs non-stop," he said.
"There is still some bread at the shop near us, but we don't know when the food supply will end. What will happen when we run out of our water? What will happen when my phone battery dies? We will have no connection to the outside at all."

Putin is shelling heavily ukraine cities and mass killing its civilians. The russian dictator is committing the same war crimes that Hitler did. Invading a peaceful country, a democracy, and mass killing their people, children and women included.

Ukrainian towns reduced to rubble after intense Russian shelling
