I believe that President Biden was right when he said that Russia is going to Invade Ukraine.

Any intelligent person is going to come to the same conclusion knowing that Russia has already decided to pay any price imposed on it by the West through sanctions.

Short of full military confrontation by the West there is nothing that can make Russia to change its mind as they see this as a golden opportunity to resurrect the once powerful superpower that was equal to the USA.

But Russia’s ambitions are not going to stop with taking over Ukraine since it already has made plans to increase its sphere of influence to Asia, Middle East, and South America and perhaps the whole World knowing that the West is most likely not going to do anything beyond just imposing sanctions which ultimately will hurt the West itself by effecting the Global economy in an adverse way the longer that they go on.

I personally don’t like any of the old ideologies, philosophies, and doctrines of Capitalism, Communism, Socialism, Religious Fundamentalism and all the other “ism” that are derived from the bad human characteristics of Greed, Lust, Hate, Cruelty, Jealousy, Prejudice, and lack of Empathy and that have been infringing on our rights in one way or another throughout the history because they can only exist through supporting inequality, oppression, suppression, torture, killing, and War.

When it comes to saving the World the last thing that I want to see is the further expansion of these old systems that have all already proven to be a failure in dealing with the existential problems that are currently facing Humanity and the Environment.

We don’t want all these political, Religious, and Racial parties and groups to resurrect their past, we want something new that can propel the World into the next Era that is based on the Universal Principles and Values that have been derived through Logic and Compassion and not through Force and Violence.

By “We” I mean all the Intelligent, Righteous, and Peace loving people of the World.

IMO

Trump is a wannabe dictator, so the only "leaders" he has admired have been Putin and North Korea Kim. The North Korea one is a "great guy" and the russian Hitler is a "genius" for Trump.
Well at least for a wannabe there's still hope, perhaps accountability to family values and a democratic process. They can be turned with the proper influences. Those others, only know the path of tyranny.

It's called sarcasm.
I suppose I have yet to understand American humour :xf.wink:

It's just that you seem to be totally dismiisive of DT's faults while highlighting JB's, which IMO, is better suited to the political thread. The conversation does, however, highlight the gaslighting of America (on both sides) which played into Putin's decision to invade Ukraine, since a divided America and a weak president would likely be considered less of a threat. The fact that China was pissed also played in Putin's favour regarding a deal (and to turn a blind eye).

No. I talk about Trump accomplishments, not his personality.

But since you and @Kingslayer keep attacking him personally, I'd like to point out that Trump has been investigated for corruption multiple times. The latest investigation by a political DA in Manhattan, ended with two investigators resigning and no charges against Trump.

Despite the rumors of tax cheating and bank fraud, it has been proven Trump paid all his taxes ( millions of $ ) and hasn't defaulted on any bank loans.

If you were honest about the evidence of Biden family corruption, you might be a little more critical of Joe and complain less about Donald.

Yes. You and your leftist friends should quit bringing up Donald Trump to deflect from Joe Biden's incompetence.

I don't keep attacking him, I don't really give much thought about Trump, in my eyes he's the past.

I think the reason why i mentioned him towards you, is you are clearly pro-Trump and every time i mention something positive about what Biden's doing in regards to Ukraine, i get a dislike from you followed by 2 or 3 replies in my direction, even though that doesn't bother me and will tend to ignore it (not being from America i don't want to get too involved in US politics), i did bite today, probably because It's Sunday, bored and have nothing else better to do right now.

You criticize Trump and his supporters to deflect from Joe Biden's incompetence.

Criticizing Joe Biden for incompetence doesn't make me pro-Trump. I'm pro TRUTH. I don't understand why contrary opinions ( based on facts ) cause you to deflect to Trump.

Here is something to think about:

Why don’t we have three Presidents all at the same time.

I mean the way it is right now one party gets pushed aside for four years, why can’t we have the office of the President shared by the Left, the Right, and the Independent Presidents and let them sort it all out amongst themselves about deciding what to do by the majority vote of 2 to 1 ,

This way at least we know that it wasn’t just one person who could push the button and destroy the World.

( :) just an idea)

Macron is criticizing Biden for calling Putin “a butcher”.

The French president says it’s not constructive. “I would not use that kind of language. If a ceasefire is to be brokered, we must not escalate — neither through words nor actions.”

In an interesting turn of events Ukraine has said that it is willing to become Neutral and to make some compromises on the status of the Donbas region if that's what it takes to keep the Country in one peace.

We are in a very Spiritual War in the world right now, I think that is were the division of society comes into play IMO, we entered into a physical war with the Ukraine - Russia conflict , right now it is looking that Armageddon could easily happen, and with very little to no notice. The Spiritual war is running its course, I don’t see any chance of unity , the differences are to many and no side is going to surrender to the other, All of what is going on is going to have to run its course , either way , on earth, there is no light at the end of the tunnel for anyone .. in the end, there is no winner on earth IMO

I disagree with this. I don't think this will start WW III, I think Russia comes out weaker either way.

Dear OldTimer:
You are such a diplomat and idealist!
Fortunately, in the past at least, there appeared to be open lines of communication for the past presidents to be able to provide advice and counsel to the one currently in office.
Thank for the post, though, as it is nice to have a few chuckles now and then on this feisty forum.

Are you all getting paid for making all these politically charged mems,

If so where is my money, I haven't received a dime for all the advice that I have been giving in this thread towards saving the World. :)

Maybe if innocent french civilians would be bombed daily, killing french women and children included, he would think differently.
Maybe if it would be Paris or Lyon the cities being constantly bombed, day and night, and besieged with the aim to mass starve its people, Macron would think differently.

But how easy is for Macron to say that when the daily massacre of civilians is not happening in France.
Calling Putin "a butcher" is the least someone can say about the current russian Hitler.

Reports of Russians deporting Ukrainians to camps trouble Stalin survivors

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/...ans-camps-troubles-stalin-survivors-rcna21456

"They were children when the Russian soldiers came for them in the dead of winter 1940.

The armed men who barged into their homes and gave them a half-hour to get dressed and pack a bag were called Soviets back then. And in the early days of World War II, they rousted Poles from their homes in what is now western Ukraine and shipped them off to the gulags in Siberia.

For these survivors, reports that Ukrainians are now being deported to "filtration" camps deep inside Russia brought back painful memories of their own ordeals — mixed with deep sympathy for a new generation of victims.

“I was just 3-and-a-half when the Russians came for us in the middle of the night, but I can still remember the sound of them banging on the door with rifles and bayonets and yelling 'Out! Out!” Marie Wypijewski, 85, told NBC News. "They made my father stand with his face to the wall while my mother packed and dressed us in the warmest clothes she could find."

More than a million Poles were sent by Soviet dictator Josef Stalin to Siberia.

Wypijewski's husband, Dennis, 91, said they were branded "enemies of the state" simply for being Polish. His hand trembling with emotion, he said he was shocked that "history seems to be repeating itself."

"I admire the way the Ukrainians have resisted, they have been very courageous," he said. "I never thought we would see something like this happening again. People being thrown out of their homes, losing everything they worked for in one night. People being taken by trains to Russia."

"Serce mi sie kroi," he said in Polish, which means “it breaks my heart."

Putin wants ‘Korean scenario’ for Ukraine, says intelligence chief

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...-scenario-for-ukraine-says-intelligence-chief

"Vladimir Putin is seeking to split Ukraine into two, emulating the postwar division between North and South Korea, the invaded country’s military intelligence chief has said.

In comments that raise the prospect of a long and bitter frozen conflict, Gen Kyrylo Budanov, who foretold of Russia’s invasion as far back as November, warned of bloody guerrilla warfare.

Budanov said he believed Putin had rethought his plan for full occupation since failing to swiftly take Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, and overthrow Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s government. “It is an attempt to create North and South Korea in Ukraine,” he said of the new Kremlin strategy.

Officials in Kyiv said they expected troops attacking the capital and the embattled city of Kharkiv to move east within two weeks."

Zelensky asks NATO for 1% of alliance’s jets, fighter tanks

https://nypost.com/2022/03/24/zelensky-to-nato-give-us-1-of-your-jets-and-tanks/

Ukraine needs military assistance — without restrictions — as Russia uses, without restrictions, its entire arsenal against us,” Zelensky said in a video address to the leaders of the Western alliance.

The Ukrainian leader repeated his request for NATO nations to resupply Kyiv’s military hardware.

You have thousands of fighter jets! But we haven’t been given any yet,” Zelensky said. “You have at least 20,000 tanks! Ukraine asked for one percent — one percent — of your tanks to be given or sold to us. But we do not have a clear answer yet.”

We asked for tanks, so that we can unblock our cities that are now dying: Mariupol, Berdyansk, Melitopol, and others,” he continued. “Cities where Russia is keeping hundreds of thousands of people hostage and artificially creating famine.”

We just want to save our people,” Zelensky said. “We want to survive.”

“You see the consequences today — how many people were killed, how many peaceful cities were destroyed.”

He asked again for one percent of the alliance’s fighter jets and armor, adding that Ukraine could not simply buy the specialized weaponry on the open market without NATO’s blessing.

“The worst thing during the war is not having clear answers to requests for help.”

“‘Budapest’ hasn’t worked for us already,” he said, referencing the 1994 Budapest Memorandum, in which Ukraine agreed to surrender its Soviet-era nuclear weapons in return for security guarantees from the United States, United Kingdom and Russia.

“The worst thing during the war is not having clear answers to requests for help.”

The clear answer is that no NATO Country is going to bring the Nuclear wrath of Russia upon their own people by getting directly involved in this conflict on behalf of Ukraine (which providing heavy weapons and fighter jets is going to be taken that way by Russia).

I am sure that what is happening to the people in the besieged Cities such as Mariupol is very concerning to everyone around the World, but at this time It seems like the only way to save them is by speeding up the diplomat talks and coming to some kind of a mutually acceptable agreement in order to end this conflict.

As I am watching the Oscars on TV right now half of my mind is still focused on the people who are starving to death right this minute in Mariupol and other besieged Cities in Ukraine and I can't help wondering what it is that has brought the World to the point of self destruction like this.

The West is already sending weapons to Ukraine, Stinger and Javelin anti-tank missiles included.
So what makes the difference by sending tanks and jets? Those are the terms impossed by the russian Hitler?
After 1 month of invasion Putler hasn't been able to enter any big city in Ukraine fighting against clearly inferior troops in terms of weaponry. Without any aircraft to defense their skies, without any anti-aircraft missiles to counter Putin's daily bombings.
Do you really think Putler is going to enter into a war against the rest of the World? I don't think so.
He just prefers to massacre innocent and unarmed civilians without any air-defense system and with way less weaponry.

The minimum the rest of the world should to is to provide Ukraine with the tanks and anti-aircraft systems they need to help them to survive. Without any NATO troops into Ukraine land Putler cannot start anything against NATO. He really prefers to mass kill unarmed civilians and destroy unarmed cities bombing them from the sky.
