I believe that President Biden was right when he said that Russia is going to Invade Ukraine.

Any intelligent person is going to come to the same conclusion knowing that Russia has already decided to pay any price imposed on it by the West through sanctions.

Short of full military confrontation by the West there is nothing that can make Russia to change its mind as they see this as a golden opportunity to resurrect the once powerful superpower that was equal to the USA.

But Russia’s ambitions are not going to stop with taking over Ukraine since it already has made plans to increase its sphere of influence to Asia, Middle East, and South America and perhaps the whole World knowing that the West is most likely not going to do anything beyond just imposing sanctions which ultimately will hurt the West itself by effecting the Global economy in an adverse way the longer that they go on.

I personally don’t like any of the old ideologies, philosophies, and doctrines of Capitalism, Communism, Socialism, Religious Fundamentalism and all the other “ism” that are derived from the bad human characteristics of Greed, Lust, Hate, Cruelty, Jealousy, Prejudice, and lack of Empathy and that have been infringing on our rights in one way or another throughout the history because they can only exist through supporting inequality, oppression, suppression, torture, killing, and War.

When it comes to saving the World the last thing that I want to see is the further expansion of these old systems that have all already proven to be a failure in dealing with the existential problems that are currently facing Humanity and the Environment.

We don’t want all these political, Religious, and Racial parties and groups to resurrect their past, we want something new that can propel the World into the next Era that is based on the Universal Principles and Values that have been derived through Logic and Compassion and not through Force and Violence.

By “We” I mean all the Intelligent, Righteous, and Peace loving people of the World.

You are a doom and gloom type of person @oldtimer you are the creator of this thread titled 'World War 3' and here's some things you have said on the previous page (page 33), I've not gone through the rest of the thread to find more quotes:-

We are no where near a world conflict but it sounds like you are in a bunker already.

I vote turn the title of this thread into 'Russian invasion of Ukraine' because that is what we are all talking about.
You have a legitimate concern,

As soon as there is a glimmer of hope that there is going to be some real and substantial agreement on the issue of the Ukraine and the Eastern European Countries that has started this conflict then I authorize the NamePros admin to change the title of this thread to:

"How to keep the World Peace"

But until then I and many others feel that this conflict can escalate to much higher levels causing NATO to have to get directly involved on the ground.

We shall see in the next few days what happens in Kyiv,

If there is a ceasefire and Russian forces stay out of the City then perhaps there is still a chance for the diplomatic talks to produce some good results,

But if the City is bombarded non stop and totally leveled to the ground without concern for the millions of the civilians that still live there then the Humanitarian Catastrophe that is going to be created will certainly cause this to become a much worse scenario than you like to see.

I more than anyone else like to see the World to be at Peace and the only reason that I started this thread was to create some awareness as to how things can get out of control quickly once there is a military confrontation in that region.

Now if everyone else was as logical and compassionate about keeping the peace we wouldn't be where we are, right.

Minimum IQ test for Congress NOW

.@SpeakerPelosi: "When we're having this discussion, it's important to dispel some of those who say, well it's the government spending. No, it isn't. The government spending is doing the exact reverse, reducing the national debt. It is not inflationary."

It is time for me to go outside and play fetch with my dog for a while.
Speaking of dogs,

We all know that a dog can be brought up to be a vicious animal or it could be trained to be disciplined and to some extent behave in a civilized manner,

The question that comes to mind is that who has been conditioning the human race to become so hostile to one another.

In order to have true peace we need to change the part of our nature that puts us at each other's throats even during the peace times.

In my opinion right now, we have the perfect set of world leaders deal with the situation and to be fair to them they are doing fantastic (all nations) but the main 3 who are leading the way Biden/Boris and Macron, they’ve been great, firm but not too much with Macron being the one leading the way engaging with Putin directly.

Regardless what people think about Biden, he’s the first American president since George Bush (when Putin and Russia was rebuilding) to have a hold on Putin, all be it as result of Putin’s bad decision to invade Ukraine but when I think of other leaders in recent history and how they would have handled this, war mongers Bush and Blair – Now those would have created a no fly zone and we’d be on the verge of war with Russia.

Obama would have dealt with it similar to how Biden is.

Donald Trump - Remember his tweets at North Korea how he has a bigger red (nuclear) button and that it works? He’s also being quoted last few days saying “we just can’t let the Ukrainian people be slaughtered”, I still don’t know what he would have actually done with Putin, he was the one who pulled American troops out of Syria to let Russia come in and use chemical weapons and not do a damn thing about it, so don’t know what he would have done, I wouldn’t like to find out because he’s a loose cannon, but if it was China he would have been well up for conflict.

Boris is not very popular here in the UK, but to be fair to the guy he’s handled this situation great so far.

As said we have to just stick with the program, Ukraine are more than holding their own and cracks are appearing all over Putin’s Russia, let it all come down on its own.

Agreed, but we humans have been fighting with each other since time began and that probably wont change until the end of our timeline. Short of embedding a 'control' chip or altering our dna, I'm afraid we are destined to continue killing each other for treasure and pride.

Biden drug his feet during the build up, even said a minor incursion into Ukraine would not revoke a response from the USA.

Biden was using Putin to negotiate a nuclear treaty with Iran even after Putin invaded Ukraine. EU and other lead the way on this. Biden reluctantly followed.

It is the nature of humanity. Many things drive violence like fear, greed, glory, resources, etc.

It is some pie in the sky utopian fantasy that there will not be conflict or strife in the world. It has existed as long as humans have existed. It will last as long as humans exist.

Hopefully over time we can at least limit violent conflicts by showing the aggressor the cost of their actions. Russia is learning this now. Hopefully there is a lesson others can take from this.

They will have to answer "Is it worth it?.

Humans are animals. Violence exists in the animal kingdom.

The only difference is humans have higher intelligence, and therefore the ability to inflict more widespread damage than any other animal.

I’m not interested In US politics, what i do know though Republicans and Democrats will rarely praise the opposite party even if they do something good, so I take it you are pro-Trump?

I just say it how I see it, I’m no fan of Boris, but I give credit where credit is due and he’s handling this well and in my opinion so is Biden, America (along with the UK) are leading the way on sanctions and pushing other countries to do the same and Biden is putting pressure on American companies not to deal with Russia.

I’m not sure what Trump’s views would have been from a military standpoint and things like no fly zone, as said I wouldn’t like to find out, but I’m fairly sure sanctions under Donald Trump would have been a lot weaker.

Unfortunately, suggestions made on this forum won't help to solve this.
Ideas are planted in the most surprising of places at times. Though often we don't truly appreciate them or see them take accepted form for years, millennia. But I understand what you're saying.

You jumped in after all this time just to say that :)

How about a little more participation in discussing such an important matter.

Oh he's been here. And his words should be humbling.

Meanwhile everyone needs to be prepared for all the short and long term Humanitarian Catastrophes that might arise because of this ordeal.

IMO
You know, one thing to have great things to say, another where the sincerity and credibility behind it comes into question.

That was truly pathetic. You know what I am talking about. It's in other posts in other threads too. Zero cred, dude. Please stop.

Thank you to the many dedicated posters on here with news, updates, opinions.. these are truly troubling times we are in.

Just popped in for a moment to share...large transports have been/are landing in Rzeszow, just across the border from Lviv...no doubt filled with supplies needed by those defending their homeland. Additionally, several large refueling aircraft from more than one country have been on station near the Ukrainian border. This means they are keeping a few types of special aircraft flying. Godspeed to them all!

I am truly concerned about the millions of people that are still in Kyiv,

It's hard to say how far the Russian forces will go in trying to bring the City into submission,

Because of the size and the population of Kyiv I am worried that the Russian forces might use some very cruel and unprecedented means to take over the City.

I hope that the current diplomatic talks can prevent a Humanitarian Catastrophe from taking place in Kyiv in the last minutes, but from what I can sense this could become the turning point as to whether we are headed for a much bigger conflict or not.

I’m not interested In US politics, what i do know though Republicans and Democrats will rarely praise the opposite party even if they do something good, so I take it you are pro-Trump?

I posted facts, not opinions.

More facts, Joe Biden has a long history of fabulous lying about his accomplishments, experiences, lying about other people, racist statements and plagiarism. A 40 year record.

Nothing to do with Donald Trump.

But Joe isn't leading, he's following others. You don't follow US A politics, you probably don't know his son is crack addict who was give a no-show job on a Ukraine energy company when Joe Biden was Vice President.

“How did we get to the place where, you know, Putin just decides he’s gonna invade *RUSSIA*? Something like this hasn’t happened since World War 2.” - Joe “Baked Potato” Biden

Besides the obvious gaff, why is Trump surprised Putin invaded Ukraine when he signaled for months he was going to invade. Just like he invaded Crimea during Obama's term, when Joe was Vice, President.

The entire USA intelligence agencies at his service and Biden was surprised?

I’m not sure what Trump’s views would have been from a military standpoint and things like no fly zone, as said I wouldn’t like to find out, but I’m fairly sure sanctions under Donald Trump would have been a lot weaker.
Trump was not easy on Russia. The media can't stop lying about Trump but in reality, even though he praised Putin, he was not shy about putting sanctions on him, his oligarchs and his country.

President Trump is tougher on Russia in 18 months than Obama in eight years

https://thehill.com/opinion/white-h...er-on-russia-in-18-months-than-obama-in-eight

--

Trump imposes major sanctions on Russian oligarchs, officials, companies

The move marks one of the administration's most aggressive actions against Russia, including sanctions against several oligarchs with ties to Vladimir Putin

And... no invasions.

Biden on the other hand...

It's pretty funny you talk about lying, especially about accomplishments, then support Trump.

I miss his brilliance, you know like the other day how he turned a question about the Russia-Ukraine conflict into a stupid rant about windmills.

Oh my. It's amazing you talk about lying then support Biden.

You know what the difference is?

Trump policies helped the poor and middle class as well as the rich.

What do you think is happening the poor people you think should be happy to pay more for gasoline, heating their homes, feeding their families?
