I believe that President Biden was right when he said that Russia is going to Invade Ukraine.

Any intelligent person is going to come to the same conclusion knowing that Russia has already decided to pay any price imposed on it by the West through sanctions.

Short of full military confrontation by the West there is nothing that can make Russia to change its mind as they see this as a golden opportunity to resurrect the once powerful superpower that was equal to the USA.

But Russia’s ambitions are not going to stop with taking over Ukraine since it already has made plans to increase its sphere of influence to Asia, Middle East, and South America and perhaps the whole World knowing that the West is most likely not going to do anything beyond just imposing sanctions which ultimately will hurt the West itself by effecting the Global economy in an adverse way the longer that they go on.

I personally don’t like any of the old ideologies, philosophies, and doctrines of Capitalism, Communism, Socialism, Religious Fundamentalism and all the other “ism” that are derived from the bad human characteristics of Greed, Lust, Hate, Cruelty, Jealousy, Prejudice, and lack of Empathy and that have been infringing on our rights in one way or another throughout the history because they can only exist through supporting inequality, oppression, suppression, torture, killing, and War.

When it comes to saving the World the last thing that I want to see is the further expansion of these old systems that have all already proven to be a failure in dealing with the existential problems that are currently facing Humanity and the Environment.

We don’t want all these political, Religious, and Racial parties and groups to resurrect their past, we want something new that can propel the World into the next Era that is based on the Universal Principles and Values that have been derived through Logic and Compassion and not through Force and Violence.

By “We” I mean all the Intelligent, Righteous, and Peace loving people of the World.

Likely a Russian sympathizer, but the passing of a deadline is not opinion.
True, but if you have noticed I am in the habit of putting IMO (In My Opinion) at the end of all of my posts.

Nevertheless I am very concerned about the situation in the steel plant as this is the second (or maybe the third) deadline that has passed for them to surrender and I am not sure if there is going to be another one hence the reason that I have been trying to emphasize on the importance of their rights as human beings that still needs to be respected by Russia.

No need to point it out.

What's your opinion about the situation in the Mariupol steel plant.

IMO
That's a question, not an opinion. But since you asked, I don't do well with ultimatums. IMO, these people would rather die than submit to Russian tyranny.

Dying in the battlefield while fighting is one thing, but getting bombarded while seeking shelter in the steel plant is not a good thing. There are many women and children there too.

I get the “Dislike” right often , that and be accused of being a pro- Russia , I have never been Pro Russia one minute in my whole life.

If you don’t give a favorable opinion . That based on what is actually going on in this conflict , you are surely to get a dislike every time ..

@Future Sensors ,

Good that you dropped by, I know you like to focus more on cyber stuff, but what is your opinion about the situation in the Mariupol steel Plant.

The people taking shelter over there are now at the risk of being all killed and to me that should be the most important topic of the day.

I hope that Russia can find a more logical and compassionate way to deal with this situation rather than let it turn into a Human Catastrophe.

As I get ready to head out into the world today, just having had my mid morning snack, exercised my dog and watered a few plants, I decided to listen to this music and give thanks for my 'normal' life.

My heart breaks for the Ukrainians that have been forced to leave their homes, lives, loved ones and daily routines behind. I am resolved to give as much financial support as possible for those giving aid and comfort to the refugees.

The situation has been getting very dire at the Mariupol steel plant even before the bombardment got started.

The resistance forces which around 500 of them apparently have been injured in previous battles and are being cared for along with about 1000 Civilians that are taking shelter underground are all running out of food and water.

Perhaps a Neutral Country that Russia can trust can intervene to help transport them out of the City since it appears that they are not going to surrender to Russian forces.

IMO, hope has a hole when trust is absent. Since the world can no longer trust Russia, logically we cannot expect them to show compassion.

As a final plea, this soldier suggests the West emergency evacuate trapped fighters and civilians that no longer pose a threat through a "procedure of extraction" to a third-party country...

Conflict is in your head.
Here we have invasion and genocide!

It’s a War, there were many before it, taking your anger out on me is childish IMO , I see what is happening in Ukraine

Well we all know that no one is going to do that,

The most practical solution to this dilemma is to get a Country like Turkey that perhaps Russia can trust involved in the evacuation process.

Whatever anyone is going to do has to happen fast before it's too late.

They really have no choice but to surrender to Russian military , or die .. that’s the reality of the situation IMO

The Geneva convention rules of War most likely, aside from Geneva , There are no rules in War , as younger people are now finding out..,

As I posted way early in this thread , if you have made a decision to fight an opponent that you can not beat , you fight your good fight , but you have to except the consequences of fighting that fight .

Has this old woman made the decision to fight? No, she just wanted to live her live in her home, now destroyed by Putler's missiles. And like this woman, thousands of ukrainians.

They have made the decision to stay in their homes, in their country! The only terrorist that made a decision is Putler invading, bombing and mass killing thousands of innocent ukrainian citizens!
