Wordpress page title in search results URL

The pages of one of my sites are coming up in Google search results like this:

examplesite.com/?page_id=31

What do I have to do in my Wordpress settings to get the actual page title showing in the URL instead of the generic "?page_id=31"?
I seem to remember it mentioned in another thread but I couldn't find it...
