I don't have much experience with Wordpress, but have just installed it for one of my sites.
The issue I have is my page title tag is showing not just at the top in the page/browser frame (sorry, not sure of correct term), but also on the page itself just above the header image.
How can I stop it showing on the page - I only want it in the "browser frame".
I hope you understand what I mean :)

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

before you do this backup header.php

make sure on header.php under your themes folder
shows
<?php bloginfo('name'); ?>
only on <title></title> and only occur once, if you see it inside
<span class="headerfont">
then remove it.

Thanks for your replies.
I went into header.php and removed the following:
<h1><a href="<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>"><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></a></h1>
and that did the trick.
Weblord, I owe you a drink : )
Thanks again!

what i do, when in doubt is open two browser tabs - one with the site and one with the theme editor

start commenting out parts by adding <!-- to the start and --> to the end of likely looking sections (before or after other code you can guess what it does)

refresh the website to see what it does

it will turn bits off. sometimes it will stuff something up, but then you just hit the "back" button on your theme editor

no need to backup! and helps work out what everything does, too

;)
