well, if you right click "view image" you can see where the image "lives":

an expert will correct me but i'd go into my hosting and look for a file called "image.gif".

it's probably in
cottingham.tv > content > themes > wp-transmission-01 > wp-transmission-01 > tmp or something like that.

upload your picture in the same folder and call it image.gif instead?

empty cache, refresh, and if it doesn't appear ask a real expert!

:p

It depends on the theme you selected and/or the widgets configuration.

You can check both in Admin -> Design -> Theme Editor or Widgets.

It should be a matter of editting the About Me widget.

with my suggestion you can do it without using the widget. but agreed there's probably a way to do it with the widget too.

in the widgets area, edit the about me code. That should solve it, it's what it is meant for. If it doesn't work (I'm not 100% sure about what you mean) please post the sidebar.php code so we can take a look

Just go via FTP to http://cottingham.tv/website/wp-content/themes/wp-transmission-01/wp-transmission-01/tmp/image.gif and replace the image.gif file

- this is if you just want to change the square icon (probably supposed to be the blog owner's photo)

agreed. that's what i was trying to say.

it's showing a photo at the moment - it's a blank grey square. remove that photo and put yours where the old file was. yours should appear.

it's all done just like when you first uploaded your wordpress theme. only this time it's your photo, not a theme.

i'm not sure how i learnt to do that. it's not really something easy to explain, but it's easy to do.

you know in your hosting you have "file manager" or something like that? loads of little folders? you have to get your photo in there.

people ^ said the right one to put it into.

if you have a wordpress blog then you would have had to upload the theme into one of the folders. it's just the same but with your photo.

if you get stuck try your hosting support. once you're away you can change just about anything - you can even alter the pictures used in your blog theme.

good luck
