.mobi Woot! My first .mobi!

I have been looking for a decent .mobi for a while. I've spent my time trying to figure out exactly what folks using their mobile to access information might be looking for. After a lot of personal observations on how people use WAP, I went ahead with my first reg.

drinkmixes.mobi : Don't bother going there, haven't done anything with it.

I figure a mobile phone would be handy for looking up drink recipes while shopping, perhaps at the bar, or while serving guests.

What do you think? With a little development (which I'm willing to do, of course), you think I might have something here?

Cocktails of course would have been better Drinkmixes sounds a bit akward imo but who knows? Sounds like it refers more to the liquids one uses as a base for making the cocktails. If developed it could just work maybe.

i personally would cancel it & buy something real good on the aftermarket here at np, prob for about $100 which would be way better

if you're with some registrars, like moniker for example you get a grace period where you can cancel

DrinkMixes is not bad if you look at the search results, at least from Trellian. Sure, Cocktails.mobi, Drinks.mobi or even Bartender.mobi would be ideal, but this isn't so bad. CocktailRecipes has some good search results too.

keep reading here and make sure to go to the thread listing .mobis that already sold...you can get an idea from many of those...

You're right. Thankfully I've gotten some really great comments, and some great help from scandiman.

I've been of the mindset to buy small, develop big. Hopefully it pays off.

Don't worry about it, sometimes you feel more welcome getting a bit picked on, you know, "we're all in this together" - type of feeling? Either way, glad to be a part of such a fun community!

IMO, it's worth building both if building any at all. Same back end data, 2 different faces. Might as well leverage the same effort to build out multiple domains on the same topic. Just keep them dissimilar enough so you don't get dinged by the SE's for identical content.
