2) s or not s - domain name end with or without s
3) forum or talk
5) 1 or one and so on

I'd say without "the".

2) s or not s - domain name end with or without s

In most cases, I'd say "forum".

4) 1 or one and so on

I say "one"

yes can hurt unless the is part of the name (such as thebears.com)

2) s or not s - domain name end with or without s
usually prefer w/o the s but sometimes plural makes sense (freedownloads.com, games.com)

3) forum or talk

Can help or hurt depending on the market but would limit the domain to a message board

5) 1 or one and so on
usually just hurts unless again the 1 is integral to the name
