Which name is better to register, with "s" or without? singular or plural? Regardless of extension

Example: cars and car

box and boxes

powerboats or powerboat

Is it by adding "s" at the back can increase or lower the domain value?

Any opinion is highly appreciated....

Registering a singular or plural domain would depend on the name itself. In some cases plural would sound better and in some singular would suit the best.

For eg. cars.com is better than car.com on the other hand mail.com sounds better than mails.com.

I was used to think that singular is better because it is one or two letters less and was thinking that if people are unsure about the domain then they will go with the singular form first. But then I noticed that in some cases people prefer to use the plural. I agree with peter.

if possible and both are available... seems like it would be a good idea to get both if you can. I know this isn't always possible but just thought I would mention the obvious.

if it an object, plural will sound. if it is a community, then singular will sound.

Also, and this is just my opinion, ..... I think in most cases s is better for the .info
