The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
They were released by the registry. The next batch is in auction now. Some more details on domaingang.com

There are a few good domain hacks there.

c.at 60,467 USD - That could easily be developed. Cat food market in the UK alone is worth £1 billion a year.

e.at 13,497 USD - Possibly the biggest opportunity for fast development and a huge profit from reselling. It would not surprise me to see this resell as a domain somewhere in mid - high 6 figures within the next yeaar or two.

b.at 11,985 USD - Not a bad investment but restricted a little in development terms, but undoubtedly could be turned into more than an online sports bat site.

ch.at 10,800 USD - Well surely this is just a question of who gets this and how they develop it. Along with e.at this ch.at domain is surely the big money making purchase from this round of the auctions. (Wonder if in a couple of years we will all have a 'ch.at' account?)

f.at
10,798 USD - Obviously a ready made market for a slimming site (absolutely huge business worldwide). Perhaps as a domain might get flipped in the neaar future for six figures.

fl.at 3,995 USD - Great for a real estate site, and at a price few real estate agents would not be able to afford.

Now the question for each domain is whether they were purchased by domainers to re-sell or develop, or bought by an end user, and if so whether the end user bought them as a defensive registration or do they appreciate the value these domains have for a site developed on them?

The auction was very well promoted - I received .at least 3 auction press releases from Sedo re the upcoming auction.

no matter what we learn or see or breed in to our offspring there is a simple answer the other way that was not said.

Does anyone know what either bo.at or co.at sold for in the auction?

I was interested in this but I felt the radio test was a hard one to get round, for me.

i.e. lets say you register LL.AT, which on the face of it is a great premium domain but in English speaking countries it may cause confusion when giving out email addresses. Using this domain as an example - [email protected] would be the address. Sure, snappy and sweet- even easy on the eye but the radio test seems to fall short.

Having said that, this is an Austrian ccTLD (I am not sure if Austrians say "@" in a different way to "at"?). I am inclined to let people bid it out and await the fallout in the aftermarket but again "he who dares wins"...!!

I got similar emails from 4.cn. I always wondered how one goes about getting big companies like 4.cn and Sedo to send out emails to their customers promoting your domain auctions? I don't think nor heard of SEDO or 4.cn ever doing that. till now? or am I wrong?

.co.at is a third-level extension, so is .or.at. So it won't be released. The registry is not releasing all names at once.
I think there are two more batches coming up shortly.

Yep. Eventually NP forum got a new member by that fact :)

Almost same. But natives will clearly hear the difference.

Like the "AT" part of AT&T compares to "@"
you can easily differentiate
