Why this happen when I try to reg

when i try to search a name on whois.sc and other the status shows the name is available to reg
but when i try to reg i get message that the name is already taken
i tried on different sites
why this happen
plz help

This simply shows that the name which u are trying to search is registerd but still not active . What happens is that once a domain is registerd it takes some time to updated its DNS information in all whois database that is why some whois db show that it is available but some say that it is registred.

it means that someone else registered it but, it didnt prostigate through out the dns records
