I wanted to open a discussion around the growing demand for paralegal services in Ontario’s Small Claims Court, especially here in North York and surrounding areas.
For claims up to $35,000, many individuals and small businesses are realizing that hiring a licensed paralegal can be just as effective (and far more affordable) than retaining a lawyer. Whether it's an unpaid invoice, contract dispute, rental damage, or loan recovery, paralegals are fully authorized by the Law Society of Ontario to represent clients in Small Claims Court.
From my experience (both professionally and hearing from clients), people often hire paralegals for these reasons:
Plus, paralegals tend to be more approachable and flexible, which is key when you're already stressed about a legal matter.
Would love to hear your thoughts:
Looking forward to hearing your experiences and advice!

From my experience (both professionally and hearing from clients), people often hire paralegals for these reasons:
- Free case consultations and evaluations
- Transparent flat fees and no hidden costs
- High success rate with claim settlements and judgments
- Efficient document preparation and court filing
- Clear, step-by-step legal guidance

Would love to hear your thoughts:
- Have you used a paralegal for small claims before?
- What kind of disputes did they help with?
- Do you think paralegals offer good value for the services they provide?
Looking forward to hearing your experiences and advice!
