Today, I wanted to delete my account at a certain Alex Jones-friendly registrar and discovered that there's no simple way to do it. You have to email them and request this.

From what I'm seeing, only Porkbun has a button that lets you easily and quickly delete your account. Everyone else seems to be making it hard for users to do so. Why is that? It's weird - especially when it comes to registrars that trumpet their love for free speech* and such.

Even Facebook has a Delete Account button. Why wouldn't all registrars have this as well?

* Free speech is great. Hate speech is not.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
It's very simple in Dynadot, delete > confirm > wait one month

Imagine that your account was hacked and then removed in a few clicks...

But you can have a Delete button that requires confirmation via email.

Following Twitter’s lead, i see. You cant delete.

Facebook allows, not “suspend” but delete, yes
they actually allow both; latter is difficult to find.
Great questio i didnt try, if did not worth hassle

Never thought of it that way...
Make it so you cant delete accounts with DN(s)

You can still delete DNs, then account, but I see what you are saying. Never came to mind.

  • The sidebar remains visible by scrolling at a speed relative to the page’s height.
