Why do people sell good domains for coins?

I tend to see many good domains with good keywords sell for $40 or so... Why do people sell them? They could put up some articles, set up adsense, buy hosting for $5 and they would be in profit which could earn much more... I'm not really into domaining, and correct me if I'm wrong, but why sell a domain if you could be earning its selling price every month?

I have domains that make more then reg fee per month. But if I can sell a domain for say $100 that was making me $5 a month I could reinvest the $100 to make me $10 a month...

Not everyone is a developer or wants to run sites, also it isn't quite as simple as popping on a few articles, adsense and start making $40-$50 a month. Many people don't want to invest the time into stuff like this and when they registered the domain originally they thought they would easily be able to sell it quickly for a nice profit, in the end they are often just happy to make anything from it.

The people selling in the $xx range are usually doing volume. Some domainers have a real talent for coming up with perfectly "developable" domains that are unregistered.

In the amount of time it takes to develop a proper minisite, this type of domainer has several $xx domains registered.
