domain Why did this appraise for $135,000?

I had DonateYourPS2.com appraised at securenamesale.com and it appraised for $135,000. Then someone selling this site for me had it appraised and it appraised for $120,000 there.Here is the link to my appraisal:

I have no idea why it appraised for so much on each site. I know it isn't worth this but why did it appraise this high.

Any opinions would be helpful and also what you think its worth. Thanks.

I try to stay away from appraisals but I'd imagine that it could run anywhere from low-mid xx, as the demand for donating PS2's is much less now that PS3 isn't doing so well.

Well my thought was different. Since the PS3 is out more people would be willing to get rid of their old PS2s yet there would still be enough people buying the PS2. Especially because of the price and parents always buy the younger children the older systems.

No. You'll have to call your credit card company and deal with it that way.

Credit Card company can issue the reversal of funds. it might take a while, but at the same time, your CC company will also inlude the business you complain about in their records as business to watch out for. It's practically a "watch list". At least the more reputable CC companies do that.

There are a few media companies that ran something like "donate your...." for this year's christmas. you're a bit late to this game though.
The domain as it stands, max mid $xx.
dev. of this domain forces you in one direction, so, if developed and working as a ps2 drop off, etc. maybe high $xx. i simply cannot see any commercial value there. but, as always its just :imho:

Did it cost ~$35? Don't feel like you're limited and cannot do anything. Do a chargeback.

I agree that the appraisal was way off. But since the poor introduction and problems with the PS3, that increases the value of a PS2 name. Take a look at ebay auctions for the PS2. Most of them are still going for $100+. That tells you something.

Of course, you're right about it being a time-limited domain name. But also, I have several Wii names. Of course, the Wii is revolutionary, but in the end, I realize that the Wii isn't going to last forever. It all depends on what you want to get out of the domain name, or what you think other people can get out of the domain names.
