Good question, Red. Why not? The money is easy, you never have to look the victim in the eye, others do it and they dont get caught or feel guilty and they have nice houses and cool cars and a s***load of money in the bank....

Yea man, why not me? I want those things for my family, for my kids..... yea, my kids deserve the BEST money can buy. So what if the life~lessons they learn from thier father are about greed and slime, and that morals and integrity are just words for suckers to live by. Yea Red, why dont we....

Because a man has to look in the mirror every morning, Red, and he might accidently look himself directly in the eyes... you cant fool yourself when you look into your own eyes...
And he has look his children in eyes too, Red... and we know how deep they can see inside.

Because the measure of a man is not the contents in his life, but the content of his life.

Thats why.

But you know this, Red.... and that is why you ask.

Peace, kid5150

For real, why not?..
I got ripped off $300 last year, shouldn't I get em back by ripping someone off saying I'm, let's say, RapidBox? Like whoever ripped me off did

Respect!

I and I'm sure many others respect you because of your professional practices. I can not say that for many that I cross paths with on the internet.

See, if everyone steals, lies, rips off people, whats going to happen? I'm sure GOOD things won't happen. Do you like getting ripped off? I'm sure you don't. Then why do you want to cheat someone else. If everyone keeps doing that, then the world will be chaos, IMHO. There wouldn't be anyone you could trust. All peace would be erradicated from the world. It'll all turn into a MESS!

Thats the way I look at it.

here is the answer:

Some time in your life, you must have felt cheated... or ripped off right? You must have felt some time in your life when you thought "how stupid was I? Why did I trust him?" well, that will be your "clients" (or victims...)

You will be weathly, and rich... but think about all the people out there who hate you. Your friends will disrespect you (well... if you tell them). If the word gets round, you will soon be the topic of disgussion on forums such as namepros, and I'm telling you now, it dosen't matter how rich you are... you can never escape the feeling of EVERYONE hating you.

Oh yea... and did I mention that ITS ILLEGAL? Remember that saying:
Only the virtuous are REALLY happy

have I said enough?

if you can live with yourself in the knowledge that you rip people off (or live with the consequences) I guess there is no reason against it.

But me personally have a conscience I certainly wouldn't be happy in the knowledge I ripped someone off hence the reason I dont.

What are you trying to say? You are looking for a reason why or why not to scam people out of their money? Its just wrong, illegal, dis respectfull, unprofessional, and many other wrong things.

Same here... :hi:

I think that's why I am no good at selling stuff to ppl face to face... I haven't the heart to do what other people do. I was reading up about selling techniques and this caught my sight:

Selling Teddybears: If you are in a store, or a market selling teddies, or any other soft adorable toy then give it to a child (with a parent) and tell them to test how soft it is by giving it a hug. No respectful parent has the heart to rip the teddy away from the child and say "no thanks". Therefore you get sales.

I thought that was really harsh, and the fact that there are people out there doing that was just eating away on my concience, and I wasn't even doing anything.

Why redhippo would you like to make people feel bad? why would you con them into giving you money... there are only 2 cases when this is acceptable:

1. When the person you are ripping off has bucket loads of money, and cons people anyway. (eg: Bill Gates)
2. When people know what is going on, and are willing to give you their :$::$::$:

Here's a good reason: money gained through illegal activity tends to not last long. Its true! You just turn around and throw it at some frivolous thing or other (like crap domains :p), and next thing you know, you are broke again and need to go out and steal some more.

On the other hand, money earned legitemately you tend to nurture and spend wisely. Why? Because you worked hard for it, that's why. Let's say you want to buy a nice T-shirt worth $10, and your effective hourly rate is $10 per hour, then that shirt represents one hour of work. So now before buying it, you simply ask yourself if you are willing to trade one hour of work for that shirt.

That yardstick is not available for cheaters and thieves. To them, they could just steal some more $$, or maybe steal the shirt itself. Its not a matter of trading off personal time, but trading off the risk of getting caught.

Well, if being good just for the sake of being good isnโ€™t enough, remember there will be a day of reckoning.

Besides my concious and all, I don't want to have the police at my door to find out I ripped the tag off the pillows. I hear you get life with Martha Stewart for that. LOL! I try to live life the way I'd want others to treat me. I hate being ripped off, so I don't rip off others. Not sure I'd have a problem though with the Teddy bear thing though. Great sales technique. I would be a bit careful about who I did it to, and not some parent who looked as though they couldn't afford it. Not that cruel.

As far as money goes, it happens when you have a lot of money no matter how you get it. When I was paid well, in a high stress job, I blew through a lot of cash with the family, doing lots of vacations, buying extravagant things. It was a tough road to come down to reality and realize that it's not always gonna be there. Fortunately, I was able to break away fairly clean of debt, but still wish I'd been more spendthrifty.

.. reason enuff for me:

You better watch out
You better not cry
You better not pout
I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to town

He's making a list,
Checking it twice;
Gonna find out who's naughty or nice.
Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to town

He sees you when you're sleeping
He knows when you're awake
He knows if you've been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake

With little tin horns and little toy drums
Rooty toot toots and rummy tum tums
Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to town

He sees you when you're sleeping
He knows when you're awake
He knows if you've been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake
Goodness sake

You better watch out
You better not cry
You better not pout
I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming
Santa Claus is coming
Santa Claus is coming to town

(Coming to town)
Santa's a busy man he has no time to play
He's got millions of stockings to fill on Christmas day
(Santa Claus is coming to town)
(Coming to town)
(Santa Claus is coming to town)
(Coming to town)
