All, is there any reason why the domain names are encrypted when reporting sales? Is there any rule that says you cannot type in the exact domain name, e.g., example.com?

No, there is no hard and fast rule for the encryption, it's just a courtesy to the buyer of the domain, so as not to be indexed by Google (and other search engines) regarding the name and price. It's basically trying to create a small wall of non-disclosure while still being able to share the sale with NP forum readers!
